Complete ridiculousness. The over-hype of this storm was crazy. Honestly, I wouldn't have an issue if meteorologist came out and just admitted they were full of shit and had no clue where the storm was going but with the exception of saying a storm was coming 4 or 5 days in advance, I could have prognositicated a snow fall number in the same range of error as the so called meteorologists. I know its not an easy field, but damn....they really have no clue. I was squarely in a 12-18 inch area for 48 hours......what did we get? 2 inches of wet slush. All the schools closed, businesses closed (including mine), ....millions lost when it was unnecessary. Maybe they should just drop the forecasting and concentrate on nowcasting. ....sorry, but frustrated.

I think it was more that they totally missed the storm on Friday and overcompinsated today. Both sucked.

Yep, and for us, they announced last night that schools would be let out early so the forecast helped a lot of people plan for child care this afternoon.

They initially called for 4-8 inches with some spots reaching 10 inches in my area (York). the next day they called for 1-3 inches. It snowed, but no snow even covered the grass. Insane how "off" they were for the York area.
