This the style of basketball most of us that complain are complaining about. Carr's pretty much the only relevant player offensive.
Everyone else is throwing up air balls...they’re incapable of scoring tonight other than Carr.
What ever happened to moving without the ball, and trying to get open? These guys just stand there, and wait for a pass. And while we're at it, get off my lawn!
PSU basketball is unwatchable. It's a shame because there are so many players out there in blue and white who should be fun to watch. I only made it 5 minutes into the Michigan game before shutting it off and doing something better with my time. Almost made it to halftime this time.
Need to generate points in transition. I'd really like to see us turn up the pressure when we go small. At the other end, Josh just isn't comfortable at the high post.
Moving without the ball against a zone isn’t as important as passing the ball quickly and finding the opening in the defense...which they’re not doing either.
You’re right...a full court press or a half court trap would be nice to see especially when Reaves and Wheeler are in the game together.
They have to get in the paint to get the defense moving. Bostic had a nice cut and got fouled but promptly bricked both free throws. Really wish they'd ditch having a big guy in the game. Their defense is poor and none are a threat on offense. Julian is horrendous
Looking at the quality of shots, this game shouldn't be tied...they got way too many uncontested looks at the rim, and we took way too many contested 17 footers.
Wheeler is great at the defensive end, but they are playing five feet off him and his man continues to help with no repercussions. Really hope that he can follow Josh's trajectory from behind the arc, as he couldn't make a shot as a frosh either.
And Satch makes me long for Scott Witkowski or Kevin Felliws.

The key to ditching the big guy is clearing out the lane and having Lamar play the high post (i.e. kinda getting away from the base offense). Josh and Naz just don't look comfortable when they spend any time up there.
Gonna have to make 3s to win. They are sagging so badly and giving Josh/Lamar wide open looks (and Shep and Tony better looks than we usually see). But they aren't letting anyone get near the basket with how hard they are collapsing.
Time to dial up some pressure again too as we both go to the bench.

If the three ball goes in, it's fine, but if not, the possession ends. The Big man play is on a D3 level out there for Penn State. Year 7, really no excuse for that.
