In fact, he said the committee should consider Michigan. So he pushed the 2nd and 3rd place teams in the East Division over the conference championship. It really is the big 2 and little 8 as far as he is concerned. Why does the rest of the conference put up with this?

We all know (and have seen in the past) what will happen if the roles are reversed.

He was crying inside... cut the old pussy a break!

And people here are happy w/ PSU going to the rose bowl - the very symbol of this corrupt, crooked conference.

If the university administration had any pride they'd be calling the ACC commissioner tomorrow morning.

He didn't even congratulate Penn State during the trophy presentation.

Wait until the entire house of cards collapses, sometime around 2021 when ESPN and BTN's subscriber bases have dwindled to unsustainable levels. Conferences will be collapsing as the TV revenues dry up and nobody on any side can justify the system anymore. We may actually return to a place where travel cost is the deciding variable on conference alignment. Refreshingly, coaching salaries may also return to earth. By 2030, Paterno's Eastern conference may finally happen.

Maybe- but I expect the current Penn St brain trust to sign away PSU media rights for 25 years in 2020 and have everything collapse in 2021. ;)

No it sure about that fax, while cable subscriptions may be down, alternative over the top picks up some of that slack and the numbers don't capture that very well. We may end up in a system where there are less subscribers to the CFB and B1G content but those subscribers pay more than they use to when it was subsidized by those who had paid for the channel but didn't watch it.

Trade them for some used chair backs and a few panini presses.

I don't think there's any way that scenario leads to more money for the conferences. For a long time ESPN had lots of captive cable customers; now lots of people simply have no interest in having cable. I think they'll find out very quickly that the price elasticity of college football is high - meaning charge too much to watch and nobody watches
