Still, I was hoping for a hint of college wrestling or college hockey coverage when I picked up the sports section of today's USA Today. Nothing. Not even wrestling, where the champion was just crowned. Of course, the sports section is a pamphlet, not the bursting section it used to be.

Just to be clear, I call conspiracy. There is no coverage because Penn State won. Had Tosu won the wrestling championship, it would have been emblazoned on the front page.

I don't mean to throw water on your outrage, but the USA Today did have a short article about the wresting championship. I would not expect hockey since this was just the conference championship.

No, it has nothing to do with Penn State vs other schools. If enough people would be interested in reading about underwater basket weaving then it would be the front page headline. That being said, you would think that a major college winning a national championship would at least get a one line comment or something.
