Football Notre Dame defeats Penn State 27-24 in CFP Semifinals

Allen switched to Zone on that last drive playing off the receivers when they needed like 3-5 yds....frustrating.

Why do all clowns bitch about the team or a players are so bad. If you don't like PSU keep off the damn web page. A 55 year season ticket holder who Loves PSU . Remember they are kids
Some people just want to be right about Beau so they have to attack Drew constantly
mknox and Jbenedict in particular

Drew needs to settle down and not rush things too much. Stop worrying about the NFL or whatever is going on and just make plays.
I think it's more "worried about the ball-hawking ND secondary" and he's afraid of making a mistake
But then he threw the awful pick that was overturned so maybe I'm wrong but I think the clout of the defense is in his head

You don't have to read any of this. You can sit with your thumb up your ass and just watch the game.

And they aren't kids. They're adults. Most of whom are getting paid quite a bit of money to play.

This is the Allar we've been seeing more and more of lately ... panicking and missing throws. I have a feeling he'll settle down in the 2nd half and give us a better showing, and we'll continue to lean on the running game, but Allar's better 2nd half performance will make the true difference as ND sells out for the run.

You can see Carter's limited with that left arm (but still dominating) ... I just hope he can hold up for another half, and ND doesn't find an effective way to run straight at him.

I still don't see it making much of a difference. We're rolling.

Think Warren misplayed that a bit. Keeps running and I think he goes up and gets it.
Looked like the guy covering him bumped him off his turn up field. Maybe he could have run through that as he needed another 2 yards up field to get the ball. So maybe it was a good throw.

Bottom line, Drew needs to ball out this half, or staying for next year is the right decision.

A lot of people talked about the game being decided by QB play. Well...

Agree, rather he miss a few than take chances. I am tough on drew, but he plays nfl smart. They are running on a small ND def line and the goal is to win

I thought ND would be the more physical team, I am shocked how well O-line is pushing them off the ball

making millions of dollars (at least some) in a multi-billion dollar sport.

IMO

Penn State looks to be the better team overall but has made some mistakes that kept us from scoring (or scoring as much as we could).

Defense needs to figure out their short passing game - their backup QB made a lot of hay out of that easy slant a few times in their FG drive. They'll kill us on that if they come back out with it and we don't have it figured out.

Giving up a TD on the second half opening drive will make the game too close - if Penn State can limit them to a FG or zero, then score, they'll have to rely more on their passing game which will put more pressure on their OL which should lead to the QB getting hit.

In sum,I think it's there for Penn State to take - they've got 30 minutes to perform.

He was saying receptions
None by a WR is still a problem--Wallace needs to get separation

Give up on it. Send them deep and throw it only if it is one on one and they have beaten the DB. We've seen no reason to believe our WRs can make a contested catch, and the officials are "letting them play."

This has to be a predominantly a running game with an occasional throw to the tight ends and RB.

The other thing we need to toss is the zone pass defense. We have never demonstrated proficiency in that.
