That mentality that's led all of these schools to some pretty shitty coaches in the last decade or so.
Every program mentioned, perhaps with the exception of Nebraska, has a culture problem of one form or another. Add us to the list. Ours is one of Universal Basic Income; that is, guaranteed income for life regardless of performance. The only problem with that is Americans' standard of living is taking a massive hit due to globalization, inflation and taxes so people won't have the discretionary income or the patience to accept mediocrity. I posit that many programs, such as Pitt and PSU, are in the throes of a death rattle. They're about to go the way of this board. Who's to say how many college programs survive but those which do will be farm clubs of whatever NFL teams remain standing. That's my vision of the future of American football. JMO.
