No surprise that Clemson is #1 and Bama #2.
Clemson 9-5
Alabama 5-2
Ohio St 12-1
Georgia 12-1
Michigan 14-1
Oklahoma 15-1
Texas 20-1
Nebraska. 25-1
Florida 25-1
Washington 25-1
Notre Dame 25-1
Oregon. 30-1

Florida State 100-1
Penn State 100-1

I'm not laying money on PSU to win a national championship in 2019, but those are horrible odds. Nebraska is 4 times more likely to win a Natty next year? We have the same odds as the dumpster fire that is FSU? I think PSU will be surprising a lot of people next year.

ND at 25-1. Are they changing the rules to where it is just a vote after the season and you don't actually have to win a bowl/playoff game? Then they have a shot.
All bullcrap.Michigan at 14 to 1.They must sense another revenge tour on the way.Nd and neb at 25 to 1?

We will start the season ranked low. It will be tough to get into the top 4 with even one loss. But, we don’t play OSU until very late so I thri k we have a shot.

Source?

I don’t get the Nebraska standing. Sure they may be in the process of finally turning around the program..........maybe.......but they are coming off a 4-8 year (3-6 big 10). They lost this year to the likes of Colorado, Troy, and Purdue.

That said, their schedule next year is not going to be ranked as difficult.

South Alabama
At Colorado
Northern Illinois
At Illinois
Ohio State
Northwestern
At Minnesota
Bye
Indiana
At Purdue
Bye
Wisconsin
At Maryland
Iowa

For everyone griping, put your money where your mouth is. . .

Odds aren’t totally based on talent. They weigh in the road to a title. Since Nebraska plays in the sucky West, their odds of ending the season with one or no loss are much better than PSU, for instance. PSU has a very tough road, and hence much longer odds

I shake my head at those that think this is just a ranking based on talent. Learn math!!!!

Clemson has recruited 15 5 star players the past 4 years and have three more coming in 2019. They are getting guys that are stars as freshman like Lawrence and Ross this year. They only have to win the ACC and they are in.

Clemson is losing a lot of critical senior talent and maybe some others going to NFL.
Doesn’t matter. They are now the New England of college football. They are in a horrible conference and have now positioned themselves such that they only have to win two games to win a title. Kudos to them. Think it through

I like these odds much better ...

Either way, it doesn't mean a whole lot at this point in time.

Just did (although I wasn't griping). PSU at 80 to 1 for a small bet. Good luck to me.

So using your rationale, and I’m not saying it’s wrong, wouldn’t they factor into those odds that Neb would be destroyed in the CFP, thereby making the odds longer? 25-1 for them then seems insane

I just saw this as well. How can one book be at 100 to 1 and another 12 to 1? I have never seen a difference quite like that before.

Because the limits are low enough, the holds are ridiculous, and it really doesn’t matter what they put up since they won’t have that much exposure if the initial number is bad.

On the D line, yes. But their backups are 5 stars who have just been waiting their turn. They replaced the DT in the playoff no problem whatsoever. They'd bring in guys on the pass rush who were back ups just to rush the passer.

Offensively they lose Renfoe, a 40 year old slot guy. QB obviously back, Etienne at RB, all the other WRs including the freshman who just went off and more importantly 4 senior lineman. The lineman they lose, they replace with Jackson Carman, the guy who flipped on OSU and is going to be a star.

I did too but seems like almost no chance with how this season went and how good Clemson and Bama will be, not to mention UGA. But worth a shot. I'll do it again in 2020 as I feel that would be the year, especially if Clifford plays and plays well next year.

And this is what we're up against

You have to be prepared to hedge the bet. Essentially, you are hoping that psu makes the b10 title game with a legit shot at the playoffs

That "meaningless" bowl loss doesn't help. That said, the Nebraska odds are an absolute joke. They'll be lucky to have even a winning season.

You gotta be in it to win it.

They play Ohio state early at home and the rest of their east cross overs are Maryland and Indiana. They play Wisconsin, Iowa and northwestern at home. I’d love to switch schedules/divisions with Nebraska next season.
