1st Series
1-10 NW in a 4-2-5 Free Man coverage disguised, brings Will LB from depth, drops DE on 88.
JJ caches it, but out of bounds - easy 8, but mental mistake. OL did well in protection.
2-10 Tight Doubles formation - NW 4-2-5 Quarters coverage, no outside leverage to the field,
Hit 88 for 5 yard gain over the middle. 13 open as well.
3-5 Trips, Barkley away - NW 4-2-5 look, LBs wide quarters coverage - crossing routes underneath. hits JJ for 1st down - good protection from OL
1-10 Trips Open to field Barkley away vs. 4-2-5 2 shell, draw to 26 - he was indecisive. OL nice job - 70 comes off double to LB, FS fills where Barkley was going to cut. Gain of 2.
2-8 Trips left Barkley away vs. 4-2-5 with Sam tight looks like man coverage - Shovel pass to 26. OL good movement and push, 70 too high and wide on lead pull, makes contact ends up blocking two. Barkley spins for 1st. +8
1-10 Wide Doubles from middle vs. 4-3 quarters look - complete to JJ on an out
1-10 Balanced TE left vs. 4-2-5 18 helps pick up blitz inside - nice scheme, 66 over extends, 11 doesn't break on the top of his route and NW has good coverage on a high throw. incomplete.
2-10 Trips Open right - left hash vs. 4-2-5 LBs wide to trips open so far, Great protection, McS throws high - incomplete
3-10 Trips open right vs. 2 man under - LBs coming, Trace keeps Jet read and gets tackled from behind by unblocked LB, didn't have enough for him. Good call vs. this set, give them credit with the effort.
4-8 doubles vs. 4-2-5 good protection, McSorley steps up too far and is forced to keep it. Hade Gesicki breaking open as he crossed the LOS. turn over on downs.

Overall, not bad - some missed opportunities, step out of bounds, Gesicki on 4th. 40 yards on 1st drive - not bad.

2nd Series
1-10 Trips left open vs. 4-2-5, Barkley H-Trap for 8 yards. 66 takes a flat angle to Mike, everyone else on, good play. Bad spot
2-2 Doubles - hard to see defense, Trace keeps read, as De takes 26, 66 leaves double team too soon to wrong side Gonzo left hanging bc of it. LB makes play. easy to clean up - just need to execute better.
3-1 New formation - TE/H - split WRs vs. 4-2-5, Sam on TE at LOS, Give to Barkley, 66 gets beat by DT crossing his face, poor 1st step., TE isn't physical enough and gets beat., but 66 mistake blows up play. Bates, Gonzo, Mahon, Wright = all good

Overall, mistakes by one player can blow up a play and the series.

3rd Series
1-10 Trips open right, left hash complete Blacknall +12 Good protection
1-10 Balanced wide, right hash vs. 4-2-5 wide complete out to JJ, no under help
2-8 Trips open left right hash vs. 4-2-5 quarters - Jet read Trap - nice scheme.
Mesh takes too long - read DE blows up mesh, Trace loses 3 yard - but good double between 70/71 on right, Gonzo and McG, McG over extends a bit to reach Mike, 71 never releases from double to Will LB. OL pretty solid here - mesh blow up on Q/26. Wider splits would help this, 26 quicker at snap, as well. OT chip on read DE - all simple solutions.
3-11 Trips left open vs. Okie - Odd front good protection, McS dumps it to Hamilton when backer comes up. great protection
1-10 Balanced Tight 88 right vs. 4-2-5 man free - good protection, PI vs. JJ - good call.
1-6 Balanced tight 88 right, 4-2-5 press man (7 in the box) Jet give to Barkley (outside Gorki), Bates/McGovern - good, Fries/Mahon good, Gonzo needs to log the DE, he doesn't, 88 misses LB - 1 player mistake and -4 yards.
2-10 Trips Open left vs. 4-2-5 press man, handoff Barkley - can't block all of them, blown play - DE comes untouched and no read action - Blown play. This is something new. They are trying to read the DE away from Barkley with him going inside of the read. hard to describe - but think of a veer read but the backside DE. If Trace pulls it, no one is on him and he can either run or throw to Hamilton in the slot. This is a new wrinkle, look for improvement in the next few weeks. OL - Bates, Gonzo, McGovern, Mahon, and Fries - all good, locked up and in good position with feet and hands - textbook.
3-13 Balanced wide vs. traditional 4-2-5 good protection, JJ out at the 3.
FG

Overall, nice drive. lack of execution by one leads to breakdowns of the whole. Fixable.
Take the 3 on the road.
I'll see if I can do more later in the weekend. No promises.
