Why does Lamar insist on keep jacking up 3s? He’s 20% this year. If chambers were competent he’d tell Lamar to stop trying to shoot 3s for a while.
Too many three point attempts from 4 feet behind the line. Unsurprisingly, all hitting the front rim. This is an easy correction for a competent coach
Give it a rest. We get it, you hate Chambers.
The team is playing well and ahead by 11 points.

I want to like Chambers. A lot of his problems as a coach are completely fixable yet he doesn’t do it. 8 years of dumb coaching. Or as the color guy just said “head scratchers”. SHOT SELECTION. If we were outgunned then I get it, but it’s stupid crap like that that turns people off to a coach, myself included
Bolton's shot selection rivals Joe Crispin's for sheer absurdity. However he is getting better overall. If they win today you'd actually have to say that things are starting to stabilize
Yes. Reminds me a LOT of Shep his first two years. Used to jack up way too many very long 3s. He still shot a few long ones later in his career but not nearly as many. That’s why he went from 33% to 43% from freshman to senior year. It’s the simplest of corrections. Yet it keeps happening under Pat

I get the sense that Bolton is hard to coach because he believes he is going to make every shot. Sort of like Shep, but even more like Joe Crispin and Carr. Joe Crispin once shot us out of a 20-point lead against Ohio State and we lost. It was the same year he led us to the Sweet 16
However he has actually been doing some good things lately with taking the ball to the basket, and his freshman year is not over yet. I like this group of freshmen a little better than the Carr class. They are getting forced to get better very quickly and actually responding.

Not sure what you’re talking about....coached basketball for 25 years, so I’m quite sure I know more about the game than you do.
It is a problem and Pat has been falling apart late for eight years. It just seems worse now that his teams are more talented.
Today could be a pivotal day for Pat. If he loses I think he is still very likely to be fired. If he wins I think he has a path to saving his job for another season.
I feel he blows another lead today, I could see him getting canned...but I think they’ll end up keeping him.
If he closes out a season in last place with only 3 conference wins - I really think he's gone

Don’t know everything, but I know more about basketball than a lot of posters on this board. I put too many years and too much effort into learning the game to have posters who’ve never done anything other than watch the game try to tell me I don’t know anything.
That’s like heaping praise on Todd Bowles for beating the dolphins. Hopefully chambers meets the same fate as Bowles.

With games against Illinois and Rutgers still remaining, Pat should get a minimum of 6 wins in the conference. If he gets more than that, it means he beats either of Maryland or Wisconsin.

Yikes. So before the season started you’d have been fine with 6-14 in conference and Pat retaining his job? Coming off of last year?
Just curious, why do you even watch the games? It's pretty obvious you start these threads for the sole purpose of attacking Chambers. You are never happy when the team plays well or God forbid wins. We get it. Give it a rest. You are going to be so disappointed when Chambers isn't fired and he's not getting fired.
So what was your record and how many championships? Bonafides mean a lot and message boards are notorious for folks claiming any or everything.
Just my own $0.02, but I think Pat’s recruiting has not solved things the way many might have expected. He gets better players, no doubt, but the roster turnover is so heavy that there is little continuity from year to year. Maybe PSU should place more emphasis on getting the guys likely to contribute 4 - 5 years and can play important roles off the bench.
This also makes me wonder about football with all of the three year tenures and transfers.
