Official PSU - Georgia St. Game Thread

Good example there - they were run blitzing again and every single defender bit on the fake to Barkley.....McSorley walked in.

Regarding struggles running inside ... I'm not sure it's the line as opposed to the system

Any delayed blitz will stuff the middle when it's the delayed hand off

I really wish we would install the pistol

Clearly, McSorley was supposed to hand it off to Barkley and missed. Broken play. Man, this has to be some sort of record for broken play TDs.

Misdirection is certainly a good thing considering how much they're focusing on SB.

It's like they're saying go ahead and beat is Trace... we're not gonna let Barkley run all over us. At this rate, Trace will toss over 400 yards before coming out.

We don't. Ignorant whining, crying s bitching one play at a time is weakness. It's a phucking preseason powder puff practice game. You get up for it and go play the game. Pathetic!
Exactly... if we can't run off tackle (or whatever the equivalent is for this offense) against a powder puff team, then that is a problem. Me seeing it isn't weakness, you denying it isn't strength.

How many times have we been tackled for a loss or zero gain? Maybe this is exactly how Moorhead's offense is supposed to work, as it was like this last year from what I recall.

Ok, lets have some meaningful discourse about the running game. Two plays to sanders worked extremely well. They both were outside runs... were they toss plays? Are these working better because of something that GA St. is doing to clog the middle, or is it because of some issues with Penn State's interior blocking?

I think the reason you seen the two plays to sanders work so well is because when 26 is in the game EVERY DEFENDER on the field is trying to stop him. Mcsorley just scored easily because the whole defense rolled to 26.

Hey, holy Shit folks; it is thirty five nothing. Some here have to re think what football strategy is nowadays. It is a different game today and you won't find it in your books.

When we use that inside run with Barkley (the quick, 33 yarder) he is at his best. No zone read/rpo means the line can fire off on their blocks. The result is open holes and big gains.

Our zone read play is mostly a set up. I wish it were more successful than it is, but it's essentially our FB dive of a triple option except our OL has to semi-pass block in case Trace decides to throw.

What? You mean they are all not broken plays but by design? Sheer genius! :D
