Official PSU - Michigan Game Thread

Whether you think it’s right or not Trace is not coming out of this game unless it’s his decision.

Franklin will not do it. Stop talking about it
So basically don’t talk about THE story of the game...

Trace has had a number of games in his career in which his passing was great. Disagree with those that claim otherwise. This season, for sure, has not been as good.

I love Trace and what he's meant to this team, but he's far from 100%. Time to give Stevens and/or Clifford some reps.

Trace is hurt and off. The team deserves a chance to compete, put Stevens in. This isn't a slight at Trace, but he isnt super mobile due to the knee and is missing a few throws too.

I agree McSorley is hurt but I don't know that Stevens would fair any better. A veteran defense might eat him alive.

Last 3 minutes of the half, Sanders gets knocked out of bounds and they don’t stop the clock. Then he makes the first down, and they don’t stop the clock.

You weren't alone. Sadly, we can't make a play. Unnecessary chop block. Gifted a fumble after some momentum. Missed on a wide open pass to Thompkins.

Is Franklin really going to play Trace until he's broken in half? He's not 100%. Get him out, even if he's our best option.

Honestly, even if Tom Brady was in our QB position, he couldn't complete passes because the OL can't keep Michigan out of our backfield two seconds after the ball is hiked. Got to be better in line protection regardless of who is the QB.

We have no running game. I see no reason to not make this the #1 offensive priority next season.

Wally was a pretty good pocket passer imo.
I’m not saying he was bad just pointing out he would overthrow to wide open receivers often. Not sure if he got over excited and put some extra juice on it or what?

So basically don’t talk about THE story of the game...

Like I said I’m not saying it isn’t a valid concern but it won’t happen!!

Our tackles are getting beat up badly, still have a case of the dropsies, and if I see Sanders/Trace do the do-si-do in the backfield one more time I’m gonna scream. Not the only story of the game.

So I guess there will be a sentiment that talent is not the issue for this game, that mistakes and missed opportunities simply cost PS.
There's definitely a talent difference. UM is bigger and stronger. That's why we need misdirection plays. We might have a speed advantage so need to get those guys in space.

UMich should just blitz every play. What have they got to lose, we have no way to defend against the blitz AND no clue how to (OMG!) attack the blitz.

They would have a great chance to hold PSU to negative yardage for the game.
