Official PSU - Michigan Game Thread

UMich should just blitz every play. What have they got to lose, we have no way to defend against the blitz AND no clue how to (OMG!) attack the blitz.

They would have a great chance to hold PSU to negative yardage for the game.

I particularly like that little stunt deal UM runs against our left side. I will bet they havent run that all year. It loooks like such a tough thing to deal with....SWITCH! Our offensive line seriously stinks!

Man what a bunch of fickle whiny bitches on this board. You don’t deserve to watch anymore of Trace and please don’t show up for his final game. Stay the hell home.

Id like to see him healthy for the final game myself.

Mich has seven and eight in box every play
And coming in from ends hard
RPO won’t work
Wildcat wrinkle won’t work

Slants
Screens
A sweep or quick pitch
Wheel route
Yep. Surprised not to have seen more of this. An option pitch is a great play against the DEs crashing every down - surprised not to see it in the first half.

The TE has worked. One throw to Miles worked. Hamler is getting some space. Other than that, we are getting nothing out of our offense.
I have a big problem with a running game that gets most of it’s rushes from the QB.

When we get a quarterback in here that can compete in all phases of the game (and hit a screen pass), that qb is going to obliterate every record we have.

-8 yards rushing with an experienced OL.

only 21 plays and I think only 6 attempted runs including the fumble. 4 sacks and 11 passes.

TM is not even close to 100% and UM knows he is not a run threat - so they are able to tee off with no risk. Tommy as a run threat would change the situation a bit. OFF would be better with Tommy right now.

Refs screwed us on a couple spots - TM slide should have been reviewed and there was a pass to Miles that looked like he got 1st but they marked it back a yard. on TD called back they put the ball on our 35 yd line - but the alleged block in back was up at the 50 - and they should have taken it back 10 yds from that point and then added the 15 yd penalty on UM = so ball should have been at 45 UMich. not going to see UM OL called for a hold.

Half way thru the 2nd quarter I decided to turn off Steve & Jack, no audio on TV. Also, took off my glasses. Currently seeing only white and yellow blurbs as players, can't see any infractions, that have been upsetting since the game started. When I see a couple of "blurbs" running to the end zone, I send a call out to Kar, who is nesting in the adjacent room, to find out what happened.

I think I'm on to something here, a better viewing experience. My body temperature came down and my face returned to a normal color instead of red.

Also started the Old Grandad and will finish with Knob Creek.

Our staff...too much emphasis and time on recruiting, too much loyalty to players who are not performing, and not enough of everything else.

There is another half in this game, but it's setting up to be like other games. Defense on the field too much due to the offense. Unless they hand us the ball, Michigan should pull away even further in the 4th.

The one surprise so far is that we have had some open receivers. Trace unable to get them the ball, and the same guys unable to catch. Not expecting Franklin to do what needs to be done -- pull some of the older players, including Trace.

At the end of this season I hope Franklin does some soul searching and has the guts to change course in a number of ways.

And we debut a new kicker (why?) and our stellar special teams show up once again. Oh, brother.

Do we have a special teams coach? Why is Franklin speaking to every player across all units? Let the position coach coach their players..be a head coach!

I root for him and wish him the best but how does 7 not make the tackle on the screen pass?

And yet another special teams gaffe. I take it back. Yet another bogus call by the referines.

And as I’m editing, another horrible pass by Trace.
