Official PSU - Michigan Game Thread

Man there just doesn’t seem to be any part of our team that is really strong this year. I keep hoping someone is going to step up and make a big play but seems like it’s misplaced.
The blocked punt was a big play and the offense fumbles. It is the story of this year. Lots of miscues. The defense is improving and the offense is regressing. There doesn't seem to be the swagger of the past couple of years.

Trace has not been playing well several quarters. It didn't just start.
Putting Tommy in is because we will NOT win with Trace in there. It isn't a great choice but it is the only choice.

It is also to keep 9’s injury from getting worse...at least theoretically

There's no question changes are needed. Franklin isn't and shouldn't be gone but other members of the staff need to be. I'm had enough of the RPO

Michigan is better than us right now. If they play like this they'll destroy Ohio State as well

I'm really not much surprised at how the team is doing this year (although a lot of you are devastated I'm sure which just means you don't know shit about football) but I have to say I am a bit surprised at just how bad some phases of the game are. Ricky Rahne is absolutely in over his head and he needs to go, I think the players' performance is being affected too much by his inadequacy.

Would not be surprised if he "moves on to another school" during the offseason. And if he doesn't, I am going to start questioning CJF's CEO capabilities, which right now I do not think are a problem.

You play call idiots are unrelenting. You think it might be out offense isn’t nearly as good as their defense
It appears that our offense is the worst offense Michigan has faced all year. Do you believe that, or is it just possible that we have been horribly outcoached/out game-planned?

JF will spin something post game conference.....I wish he will say UM kicked our butts

Someone needs to give McSorley a Snickers, because he looks like Tom Bill right now....

Now I really dislike Herbstreit he is loving this....wants Michigan to destroy us keep us down so he only needs to worry about Michigan in the conference, wow!

What? Herbie absolutely doesn't want us to lose this game if he's the biased Ohio State fan you think. Your comment doesn't even make sense.

Plus, Herbie has hyped us all year.

The reality is we aren't very good right now. Our fans greatly underestimated the losses of Barkley, Hamilton and Gesicki.

Don't know if it helps, but U of M fans also think Herbie is awful and biased against their team.

D has every right to be gassed. The O has been pretty much pathetic all game. Rahne should go back to the Ivy League, where no one really cares about football.

I agree. For me the OSU game being close made my expectations increase dramatically, but in reality thye are not a good team.

As I said during their ND game, Michigan is the real deal this year. I had hopes we could compete, but our O was terrible.

This D while not world beaters has been OK.

Regardless of the bad throw, I am still bullish on Tommy Stevens. Trace has had three full seasons to make mistakes and learn. That throw is part of the price for playing Trace all of those games when the outcome was in hand. That play was the price for not getting Tommy into games at other points as well.

Next year Tommy will likely be the starter, and I'll be pulling once again for Clifford to get some playing time, when it matters.

Wrong on sooo many levels.
Not looking for argument, moreso a discussion. Do you think Stevens is really the starter next year? Look at Clemson, Nebraska, OSU and several others. Most coaches will defer to young player with more years to play. If Clifford doesn’t start he may transfer. He won’t let that happen. Clifford has 3 years left. He plays and you see what you got. You also have 3 others waiting in the wings. There’s no way a senior plays for just one year. It rarely happens.
