Official PSU - Michigan Game Thread

As with all of our losses, our players just failed to execute. The coaches played clearly our best players, certainly had stellar game plans prepared, the special teams schemes were impeccable, and the play calls were flawless.

Darn this players for not executing.

Why has the leading tackler on the entire team not started one game all year?

Just wrong scheme. Payback talk is garbage, Win with class lose with dignity and grace. But Joepa was never rewarded for sportsmanship. As a follow up where's the flag for the McSorley taunt
I'll tell you what, if there were a way, I'd love to have the young version of Joe back any day of the week over what I'm seeing. Maybe not all the flash, but man do I miss it now.

Same boat got sucked in...I called 9-3 this year when the post was made pre season.

Yeah that was a good call in hindsight. OSU really got my hopes up unfortunately. That being said, I'm fine with our results this year. MSU stung, but next year we will be back to one to two losses.

Michigan was a question mark because it was all about if Harbaugh got a QB.. And guess what... he did.

If they had another OKorn this game is closer.

It initially ticks me off to see Michigan mock Trace, but when you make a point to do a pre planned celebration dance and/or gesture, you’ve got to be ready to see it thrown in your face when you are playing poorly.

I'd like to see somebody put 'Nair' in that kids shampoo bottle as a substitute shampoo; and then listen to that punk screams when he sees all his blonde hair going down the drain!!

this is not a great UM team. this UM team will get a serious beatdown in the playoffs. this is a really bad PSU team with terrible coaching.

Joe lost to Michigan State 42-8. He also lost to Syracuse 47-3. Also lost to West Virginia 51-20. Lost to Ohio State 41-6. Etc.

If Franklin says in the post-game press conference... We're just going to keep loving these kids, I'm going to suggest he does so as a camp counselor.

Not really. He is a good program CEO and a great recruiter, he needs to build a strong coaching staff though

All tommy does is run. Do not want any part of that for next year. He will transfer because he has no chance to start. They are not starting a senior with one year to play. They will have 3 QBs with freshmen eleigbility besides Clifford. No way tommy is starter, and should not be. This game has to happen but it’s for the better of the program. Would bet anything trace tore mcl last week

Tommy is the right quarterback for this offense. Looks like the playbook is pretty limited when he's in there, so one has to question what's really going on in practice. The #2 QB is supposed to get the same work as the #1 QB.

That said, I've been on record many times here arguing that an offense that relies on running the QB has some major pitfalls. Takes his focus on the major thing that he does -- reading defenses down field and passing.

He's going to say: "If you think I was pyscho before; just wait until you see me now part Duex!"

Regardless of the bad throw, I am still bullish on Tommy Stevens. Trace has had three full seasons to make mistakes and learn. That throw is part of the price for playing Trace all of those games when the outcome was in hand. That play was the price for not getting Tommy into games at other points as well.

Next year Tommy will likely be the starter, and I'll be pulling once again for Clifford to get some playing time, when it matters.
Trace is also the career leader in most PSU QB stats so I guess he learned pretty well

I could see Franklin sticking with McSorley, i can also see putting Stevens in. The fact that franklin can't seem to make up his mind is disturbing, he's effectively expressed a lack of confidence in BOTH QBs while causing people to question his own decision making
