It’s possible that you are 100% correct. More and more people are getting fed up with the insanity in CA and are bailing out. There’s a well known wrestling family from Clovis, CA that decided to seek greener pastures elsewhere.
The facts don't bear that out. CA population is still growing while many states, including PA, are losing population.

I would guess we don't have good data based on the last two years - who is moving in and out...

Cenzo got an eyeful of ASU coeds and lost his got-damn mind! A confident Paisan amongst those lasses - game over
I’m sure Stanford has its share of stimulating ladies—but at least now, he won’t get fired for cozying up to one, or two….

You are partially correct if you are looking at the 2020 census. But the growth was internal (births) from the 2010 to 2020 census. There was a net migration out of the state. The internal growth barely made up for the people moving out. That's why Cali lost a US Rep seat for the first time ever.

For the last 2 years, you are incorrect. Migration out of state has even exceeded internal growth. According to the State Department of Finance, population has declined.

Don't we love anecdotes with no actual data. Can we not turn this forum into a political disaster.
I am in favor of increasing immigrants from Denmark. Was just there on a business trip and stayed near the University of Copenhagen. Holy Mother of God! Just an endless stream of gorgeous, fresh faced blonds on foot or on creaky bikes toodling around. I had to maintain composure in front of my female colleagues but it was very challenging

Then again, there is the issue that a shit hole house within 45 minutes costs $850k, or a shit hole appartment is $3.5k/month.
San Diego isn't much better. I just saw this 888 square foot two bedroom one bath "house" on a 3128 square foot (.07 acre) lot listed at $773,000. But to be fair, it is only a block from a 7-11 so it has that going for it!

What's the median income, $1.3 mil?

Political and racist.
Sorry to clutter the thread with this comment and it will be my last response. No doubt my response was political, however I am not going to let an accusation of being racist go unchallenged.

I had a former co-worker who immigrated from Nigeria at the beginning of the Obama administration. Both him and his wife were college graduates and worked in IT. One day he says "you know how Trump talked about some countries being shit holes, he is right, I am from a shit hole country." Him and his wife were both conseratives because of their experience living with very liberal policies in their former country. He is a former co-worker because I wrote his resume which helped him get a better job.

I don't care what color skin you have, if immigrating to the USA, I care about the skills you have and the ability to be self-succient. We need more immigrants who have college degrees, we need more immigrants with his skill set or something similar.

People who come to the USA, legally and illegally with the only skills of being able to perform manual labor, there is a solution for that. It is called work permits. A person is allowed to come for a specific time period to work for a specific employer and then leave. These people are also screened.

People like you default to calling someone "Racist" because you have no solutions and the truth is difficult to refute.

Rant over, and my apologies for cluttering the board.

Can we move on please. This isn't something I want to have to discuss on a wrestling board. We all have differing opinions. Social media makes me have to see people's opinions I don't care to see. Take it to a place where people seek out getting riled up.

Wow, like most you need to zoom out when trying to play economist. And even then I sense you’ll fail.

You very well might not be racist, but, your post definitely had racist connotations to it.

Then again alleged transgressions might have arose to tampering from mere improper contact, if Austin O'Conner had transferred to Iowa to fill 157.

The facts don't bear that out. CA population is still growing while many states, including PA, are losing population.

And what facts are those?

Let's just say working taxpayers and corporations are leaving in droves, and non-taxpayers and low wage labor are coming in, in droves. I believe the net over the past 5 years is a population decrease, but either way the demographics are not looking good for the state with the highest cost of living, the highest state income tax the highest gas tax (we are currently at and average of $6.40/ gallon), one party rule, the least affordable housing....

If it weren't for breathtaking natural beauty, fantastic weather, tons to do, and silicon valley footing the bill for it all, it would be a bankrupt 3rd world country all on it's own.

I love it and hate it at the same time, and will ride the wave as long as I can, until retirement when like everyone else, it is time to get out of dodge.

In your opinion, does Cenzo owe more to Koll for the opportunity he was given?

I live in CA. Many people are in fact leaving and companies are relocating. To get a complete understanding of pop. changes in CA you need to look at immigration (legal and other), birth rates among diff. pop. groups, birth rate changes. And get up-to-date data. Below is just one article.

California appears to be on the verge of a new demographic era, one in which population declines characterize the state,” PPIC demographer Hans Johnson writes in a new analysis. “Lower levels of international migration, declining birth rates, and increases in deaths all play a role. But the primary driver of the state’s population loss over the past couple years has been the result of California residents moving to other states.”

Since 2010, Johnson continued, “about 7.5 million people moved from California to other states, while only 5.8 million people moved to California from other parts of the country. According to Department of Finance estimates, the state has lost residents to other states every year since 2001.”

Instead of zooming past 40 million to 45 and then 50 million by mid-century, as earlier projections indicated, California may remain stuck just under 40 million indefinitely.

That said, a stagnant population doesn’t mean a lack of demographic change. Declining birth rates, the aging of the large baby boom cohort and rising death rates – three other components – mean, for example, that as a whole, California’s population is growing older. We’re already seeing sharp declines in public school enrollment from the state’s baby bust.

Owe what? He hired Cenzo as an assistant wrestling coach and Cenzo I am sure gave Stanford his best effort. Not sure what else would be expected. I mean everybody can not be Larry Lee hanging around Arena walkways with bags of cash and promises to make proper introductions.

Yeah, Move the politics bs to the food channel where it belongs. This is the travel thread.. And as you all know we talk wrasslin on the travel thread.. And how Mike Z still can't catch a damn fish..
Nubs..
On a Koll note, I'm sure he's not happy only to get 1 year out of him.. It's a bad deal, as a wrestler his shelf life isn't that long.

Settle down , as in a few more seasons with the program for position he was hired, I’m a loyalty guy , Probly overly, never left a job that quick , but I never had Cenzo choices also .

People leave jobs all the time within a year if they find a better opportunity or if the job isn't the right fit. Why is it any different for Cenzo?

Cenzo came close to making Final X after throwing his hat in the ring a month before the open and focusing on coaching most of the year. 79KG is very open now with JB aging, Dake/Nolf opting to go down. It's not the deepest world weight and whoever wins the USA spot will have a good of a shot to medal/win as the field .... what's wrong with him pursuing that?

If Cenzo is serious about competing and maximizing his chances of making the Olympic team in 24, no brainer to walk away from coaching and to ensure he gives it his best shot.
