Ohio State board on Friday matchup

149: Zain v Hunter--MD for Zain based on what I've seen. 9-4
157: Nolf v Jake--Jake has to show up to compete. If he does, he can limit the damage. 9-8 tOSU

Theres some reasonable assessments on their board, but this from the OP was funny. Note to OP: IMar, Murphy and several other showed up to compete.

And based on what you've seen for 149, I'm not sure what you've seen. lol

This is priceless:
If JDJ wins or if a couple guys keep it close against elite competition we win the dual. The hard part is, it is a sellout crowd for PSU and the stall calls will be flying.

Translated: their only chance is if they stall their butts off and the refs don't call it.

Surely Nolf will turn in more DECs throughout his career, but it seems doubtful Jake Ryan is going to be one of them. And if no Hunter at 149, Zain's probably good for 6 against whoever draws that short painful straw. EDIT: misread, realize OP was giving Nolf a MD. Still, even that seems unlikely.

Hunter is not wrestling. I honestly believe his last match may have been friday night against Blanton. Makes no difference who ohio st sends out at 149, zain gets 5 or 6.
The reason for the 5 point option is because whoever it is chances are th ed y get turned multiple times in the first and a 15 point differential is reached before the kid is beat down enough to lay both shoulders down.

Seems to be a reasonable group of knowledgable posters unlike other places where you have posters espousing how "great" and "proven" their coach is because he finishes in the top 5 every year with a lineup full of "lowly" high school weight class top 20 rated recruits (as if there are 20 or 30 other schools behind him competing with similar quality lineups - I personally wish there was but of course there isn't.)

"Uhhhh unlike Coach Recuriter, Coach Jumping Jacks has actually proven himself to be great because he somehow manages to finish in the top 5 every year even though he doesn't win blah blah blah....But hey, hat tip to Coach Recruiter because he sure can recruit!" Remind me again how many teams actually compete for the title annually. Is it 4, maybe 5 teams at most? Yea, wonderful job "coaching em up".

Interesting recent post on ref homerism. Now he knows how we feel watching the periodic screwings on the football field. I guess those fans are right - the calls do "even out" - it's only that they even out across sports.

Well, if you're going to dream, dream big.... Let me see if I have this straight, PSU is going to only register 2 bonus points for the match and 14 points total at 49, 57, 74 and 97? Keep dreaming tO$U....keep dreaming.....while you still have time before reality gets here because shes on her way and is going to be here before you know it.

The OP for the OhioWrestling thread can't even add.
He gives OhioSt 7 team points for Snyder's TF.
He must be an OSU grad.

And anyone (OP) who thinks Zain (MD) & Nolf (DEC) will combine for only 7 team points should quit their daily crack habit.

You gotta do what you gotta do....just ask Michigan

I'd be very surprised if Hunter went this dual that is not doing him justice at all and no one really wants to see that. Our next best thing at 149 is Cody Burcher but haven't heard anything of him in a while either way PSU gets a tech or a fall.

Yes we all have very wishful thinking with Jake trying to keep the points off IF he goes and I am hoping for that but judging on his performance I'll say he gets teched as well

Nickal is not getting bonus on Myles you guys can use his losses to say other wise but anything more then a decision is wishful thinking and I believe that he can beat Nickal if not on Friday then possibly the next time they meet up I just think Myles is lacking in the consistency department at this moment in time
