Ohio State to wear all Scarlet against PSU....

What if Psu wore navy blue pants and blue helmets just to do something different for the first time ever on the road?

That sounds bad. But I actually wouldn’t mind if PSU and tOSU would actually both wear their (normal) home uniforms in games against each other a la USC/UCLA. the colors contrast very nicely and I feel like that could be a cool ongoing tradition.

So, basically, they’re going to wear their usual uniform except they are changing to red pants. Wonder what genius in the OSU athletic department spent weeks coming up with that plan? ;)

Wouldn't let us wear Blue when they wore their dark grey's.

Don't want to throw those into the stands.

What if Penn State went back to Royal Blue, like they were before Paterno changed them to Navy Blue in the late 60s?

I once got chewed out by tosu fans for accidentally referring to their colors as red and silver. Yet they don’t seem to mind abandoning tradition for these uni’s? Personally, I don’t mind the occasional special uniform for big games. It is interesting when even the rich traditional brands decide to do it.

I like alternate uniforms, and Bama has done them too…

Most probably already know the story behind it, but I just learned it recently so I'll share here. USC and UCLA do this because decades ago they used to share the LA Coliseum as their home stadium. When they played each other, both were the "home" team and their colors conveniently contrast. When UCLA moved to the Rose Bowl, the uniform tradition stopped. They started it back up in the early 2010s.
