No doubt, it's been a one-sided rivalry since 2000. As Penn State fell from their prime by the late 90s, we came roaring back. And we've dominated the rivalry (even though the 2016-2018 games give the appearance that the rivalry is closer than what it is).

I must say, though......it's interesting to think about how things would be different if PSU held on in 2017 or 2018. They very well could have flipped the script. Thank God for James Franklin and the decision to run Miles Sanders right into Chase Young on 4th and 5.

Agreed. It really is about recruiting.

We recruit top-5 classes. Penn State recruits top-15 classes with a top-10 class here and there. Both programs have very good coaching staffs, great home field environments, passionate fans, and plenty of tradition.

But Ohio State is simply the bigger national brand and can recruit at an elite level in a way that Penn State cannot. That talent makes the difference
