Ok...so how are people getting RB tickets?

I'm on the waiting game right now. Applied for 4 chair backs through NLC.

Depends on the cutoff. I'm at 467 points, which may not be enough.

Maybe you can sit in Jake's lap, and watch the game. :)

Or, for you, in front of Jake's lap......though you might not get a great view of the game while facing backwards

Just put in for two chairbacks through the NLC - hope that works out! Will probably pull the trigger on plane tickets tonight (fly from DC instead of Philly, as in laws watching the kids!) and have a place to crash in LA. When will we start seeing alumni association/PSU events? Also, is it easy to get from the parade to the game?

First bowl game since the 2006 Orange Bowl; couldn't make the 2009 Rose Bowl and have been hoping for another opportunity to see the Blue and White play in Pasadena! Go State!

I'm out unfortunately

Spent it all on big champ game and what a present. Time for other to step up.

Wait for StubHub to come down - if yesterday's game is any indication. Friends from here woke up yesterday, checked out StubHub and bought 6 together. Could only get together in the 600 level. They paid $7 each for the tickets plus $4.37 fees. Yeah, I gave a guy basically face value week ago for 600 level. He had $85 each.
Yesterday level 200 seats were $10 a piece.
I feel nauseous.

I was all fired up to go to the Rose Bowl and then my wife said we should take the whole family. Yeah, 6 plane tickets, 6 game tickets, hotel, etc. So I started trying to work all that out and I realized that no matter how many points I have for plain tickets or hotel points or NLC points for tickets its just going to be crazy expensive. So I think I might be out.

The B1G championship game was a great day for my son and I as we drove over in the morning. We hung out a little grabbed dinner downtown Indy, then headed over to the game. And man what a game it was. I wouldn't trade that experience at all. It was pretty fun last night. I still can't talk, my voice is completely gone.

Thinking seriously about your advice and making the trip with my kids.
Loss, of course makes the Holidays difficult and sometimes almost unbearable. Getting away from traditions that underscore the fact that someone is missing and creating new adventures can be helpful in coping. Our "boys" are now 33 and 35 and we've spent hours the past two weeks making plans. I keep you in my prayers.
