Interesting that we are going at Figs. My only theory is Figs was struggling with weight last year and wants to move up. So OSU and figs looking at 133.
I believe that is the plan. I rarely throw around what I hear on this page. Not even sure why I did it this time. I just don't think DT is the guy that a lot of people on here saw him as. I always loved him as a wrestler but not so much otherwise. That being said, it is impossible to be a D1 super coach and keep all the old relationships on a positive level. This stuff becomes personal. One more little tidbit. Figs wasn't happy seeing Drake walk to the finals at 133 and himself truly struggle at 125.
He has a few yrs before you can say that. His finalist would have been in finals if smith was there. He’s poaching like iowa to stay in the mix. We will know in a few yrs when his own recruits start panning out and he keeps up with cael on recruiting.
Yes, and there’s no reason to think his own recruits won’t pan out. Last year at this time, PSU fans were very happy to have M2 trained kids coming to PSU. Coaching is coaching, and no reason to think he won’t be able to coach effectively at the college level.

What does okie state line up look like next year seems to be coming together pretty well under DT. Not enough to challenge us but there's a ton of talent on that team. They add Facundo Ryder and swiderski who am I missing

Honestly I have no idea how Jamison and Swiderski is gonna play out. I’ve seen a few rumors that Jamison bumping to 157 is in play.
And the idea that Suriano would ever regret leaving here is comedy, which is what my sentence was. Doesn’t seem like I have to use emoji’s all time.

I’m not a fan of immediately recruiting over/ getting a transfer if you have a top 10-15 kid treated like he’s going to be the guy when he is brought in. I don’t like it when DT or Cael do it. I know coaches and fans want to win but these kids only have 4 years to compete. You lose a year, it is gone. And after that, it’s hard to find folk style wrestling. I know, I’ve tried. But that is not the world these coaches live in and I don’t fault them for wanting to win. What does crack me up is so many PSU fans acting like DT is some underhanded guy and Cael doesn’t pull every trick he can to win. They are paid to win and Cael and DT will both do whatever they can to win.
I don't think it would go well for Rin, especially at 133. Ono's so strong. Maybe if Rin had spent the past year fully focused on folkstyle, but that wasn't the case.
Hard to say on Hughes because he hasn't been healthy. As for redshirts, I wish they all our freshmen would do it, but Lockett has been outspoken that he doesn't want to wait and the coaches aren't going to make him. I think Robideau is college-ready as well if he doesn't want to RS. Vega has the talent, but he's been growing and I feel like he could use a year to get his body ready to endure what the college season brings
We will find out on Monday if that 30 roster number will be in effect for next season or not.

1) you seem to think DT was complicit in underwear gate; and,
2) you may have a mild case of what-aboutism that you might want to catch early.
Otherwise, I don't see how you were responsive to my question.

My mistake, I read it too fast and misunderstood your question. I thought it was a general question about the recruiting over. My response was strictly to recruiting. To answer your question, I doubt DT was involved but I don’t give a rip about that. From my experience, college weigh in procedures have been a joke for a long time and are made by people who don’t know what it’s like or what’s best for the athletes. So I don’t care, regardless of team. As long as they make weight, let them wrestle.
Frequent creeper, never had a reason to add anything to a convo. Mostly came for freestyle and high school stuff as yall are more active there than any other board. Just now has there ever really been a reason for me to comment with the uptick in talking about OKST. For the record, I also keep an infrequent eye on GIA but have still never commented there, and don’t ever plan on it haha
