Saw the stat they went from dead last in the country to 26th this year. Does anyone have any insight into what they may have changed?

they mentioned a new coach but players/scheme/anything else?

thanks, pretty impressive turnaround.

It's a very strange occurrence. They essentially went from one of the absolute worst defenses of any top 10 ever to a better than average squad.

The Big 12 was probably much weaker from an offensive standpoint in '19 (Texas got rode for weeks, but proved considerably less; WVU went from scoring 49 per game to nothing) as well.

Over half of the top 25 teams come from two conferences right now and you got nearly 1/5 of the top 25 occupied by 1 or 2 loss mid majors. People like to kidney punch Clemson for the ACC, but geez, look at the Big 12. Baylor is ranked high for the same reason Utah was.

And suddenly OU’s secondary looks like PSU’s

They did have a freshman in on the punt throw covering. Backup QB is something like 4/11. Y

know our DBs would let him be 10/11. If you are going to compare, get it right!
