Omari Evans enters transfer portal

Hayes Fawcett on X: "NEWS: Penn State transfer WR Omari Evans will visit the following schools, he tells @on3sports •Tennessee •Washington •Texas Tech •Syracuse Evans totaled 21 Receptions for 415 Yards & 5 TDs this season https://t.co/RlUbB6Fk7q https://t.co/2Bs9MDGUfe" / X https://search.app/gB3bLfsG1xBLkjqZ9

Getting some pretty good interest for a guy who can only run go routes. But he’s not good enough to be an every down WR at those schools imo. He’s best suited for smaller school or low rated power 4 team.

Help is on the way.... There are a good many contested catches among these highlights.

Get Evans and Wallace into systems that can best take advantage of their skills, and they'll be fine.

Evans is a nice deep option on a team that has a nice underneath route setup, and he can be utilized in screens, too. Wallace is just a legitimately good overall WR, and can be a definite #2 on a top squad, and a #1 on a decent squad. Just have to stop having them run 15 yards downfield, and then try to rub ... or have them run to the same spot of the field as another receiver, and wonder why they're both covered.

The fact that this guy, who has achieved very little in his college football career, has the first instinct of saying 'heisman run" upon transferring proves he should have been cast out of the team. What a totally deluded view of oneself.

Talk about a come down. Washington went from putting three receivers in the 2024 draft to having to sign this joker in the portal. If I were a Washington fan, I'd be very concerned about the trajectory of the program.
That is brutal. Just wish him well and move on.

Let's hope Omari doesn't have the same attitude as Ricky Vaughn when he thought he was cut.

Is he really 6'0 190? I thought he was a lot smaller than that based on the way he played. I thought of him as a small speed burner type of guy.

Speaking of deluded ... imagine someone who doesn't know the difference between "diluted" and "deluded" thinking anyone should care about his opinion of someone else's worth.
