I enjoyed the BHF23 post. Below is another take, though as mentioned before, I can’t manage all 10 weight classes this year. So here’s one, just to keep the streak alive…counting Scout and here, 10 years of reviews. I chose 157…

157
Jason Nolf’s first opponent is CMU’s Colin Heffernan, a 19-6, 5th year senior with a career mark of 113-42. I find this bout a bit tougher than most seeds get in the first round, as Colin is no slouch. In addition to sporting the career mark already noted, he was a #10 seed at last year’s tournament, has only given up one bonus point loss in his CAREER, 3/5/2016, to Daniel Lewis, a 10-0 Major, and he’s beaten #5 seed Pantaleo earlier this year . I’ll take a guess that, even less than 100%, Jason gets a Major here, but it won’t be easy. Next up should be fellow B1G wrestler, and #14 seed Andrew Crone (Wis), 26-10. Crone is also a 5th year senior, and moved up from 149 this year, and has never faced Jason. Baptism by fire, and another bonus point win for Jason. Here’s where the sledding gets tough. This draw would be considered unreasonable, except that neither Jason nor his likely 3rd Round opponent, Mike Kemerer (Iowa, 22-1) are 100%. Still, it defies logic, but that’s looking backward, something I never (or rarely) do, so I’m going with a decision win for the matrix, and All-American honors at this point, as a win in quarters guarantees 6th Place. Not done yet, Jason should get the winner of #7 M. Jordan (tOSU), and #2 Lavallee (Mizz). Jordan vs Lavalee is a toss-up, imo, though whoever wins I’m picking to lose to Jason, again by decision…as Jason earns a final's spot. Before mentioning the finals, a bit on Jordan and Lavallee. M. Jordan, little brother to Bo, and a RSJR, moved up to 157 this year and is 22-6, with losses to Pantaleo (3x), Hidlay, Kemerer, and Shields, though he also beat Kemerer and Shields this year. Lavallee (29-1) is a 5th year senior that has managed 157 his entire career, and this year has the lone loss to RSFR Hidlay (NCState, 22-0), after a 1-loss (to Jason) season last year. Here’s hoping for an exhausting quarter for the Buckeye and Tiger ;):).

Who should be opposite Jason in the finals? Will Hidlay hold up under the bright lights, being a freshman first-timer? Will his likely quarter-final opponents, either Colgan (Wyo) or Berger (Neb) give him fits? Or will the finalist come from the other quarter, a likely match-up between Pantaleo (Mich, 16-5) and Shields (ASU, 30-2)? I’ll go Hidlay, a close call over Shields. Neither has faced Jason in college.

Here’s to wishing Jason well at the tournament, and another National Championship!! He’s my pick for NC!

Special thanks to BHF23, for the post at https://bwi.forums.rivals.com/threa...w-very-long-get-comfortable-or-ignore.203241/, and the shoutout…
