So will it be a black-out? If so, I'll bring a flashlight
Reminds me of the joke: Q: What's Black & White & Red all over?Won't need a color tv then....
I thought that was a nun in a blender.....Reminds me of the joke: Q: What's Black & White & Red all over?
A: A newspaper; or a nun falling down the stairs.
Bad guys usually do wear black.
That's what I was thinking too. Black for a night game isn't a great look. The OSU players will look like a bunch of silver helmets floating around the field. It'll be a great contrast for our road whites which will seem more noticeable and unique than they already are. Strangely, OSU in all black will draw even more attention to PSU.I think it looks good, and against our all-white uniform will be quite a contrast.
I'm thinking about hitting this game, but $150 for a student ticket+travel will probably prevent it.

When teams do this, starts to feel like a real rivalry brewing
And when CJF beats them they will already be dressed for mourning.....
Thanks for stopping by with the scintillating commentaryYeah....OK.
You're welcome. Thanks for stopping by with the scintillating commentary
So your stripe out for us is a sign of a rivalry brewing? GaspWhen teams do this, starts to feel like a real rivalry brewing
The stripe out is lame. I'm going to wear the opposite color I'm supposed to wear.So your stripe out for us is a sign of a rivalry brewing? Gasp

Someone better get the tweet out that Penn State will be wearing white.. The only special uniform thing I'd like with OSU is for both teams to wear their home unis in both stadiums. Blue vs their Red or Scarlett.. would be pretty cool in my opinion.
When OSU played UCLA in 1976 (and maybe more recently) both wore home uniforms, UCLA obviously in powder blues. That was very cool. I think the idea was that the powder blue was dramatically lighter and different from scarlet. PSU blue is very dark. I think it would look great but maybe too dark to be effective.I've been saying this for years, would be much cooler than deviating from traditional colors.

USC and UCLA did the same thing in the 1950s and 1960's and then got away from it (may be due to NCAA rules)....they brought it back in the 2000's, with the understanding that it would cost both teams a time out per half.
I also know of some non Big 5 schools that have worn blue and red when their game was played on the night of the Presidential election.

Or...Michigan is on the road and Penn State is a guaranteed prime time game that will be a huge recruiting weekend. It's definitely one of those things. This is because Penn State is the team to beat. Michigan is just the last game of the season now. Penn State means everything, and Ohio State's little uni blast to black proves it .
You better believe Urban Meyer has his hot dog weiner on full alert.

It's less about a rivalry, and more about Nike. Texas, Oregon, LSU, Oklahoma, Florida, Florida,State, Georgia, and Alabama, will be wearing similar black designs as an alternative uniform this year.
Good for them. The more schools that go down the non-traditional uniforms road the more unique it makes us for sticking to our roots. And eventually, there will be so few teams that don't have the silly uniforms, we'll be the "cool kids" while the rest just blend in with the crowd.
