OT: for the "Kaepernick isn't good enough" crowd

Ah, that's it. Gotcha...

Ever pay attention to the votes of your elected representatives? Mr. Moreno (10th District, PA) has missed 7% (117/1,695) of votes. Chakah Fattah (2nd District, PA) has missed 7.5% of votes. THAT IS THEIR JOB.

"I would hope that everybody agrees those things are good things. And trying to push the false narrative that I was a supporter of the oppressive things that he did is just not true."

I assume we both understand what words mean.

at least, that is my first argument against people who think Joe Paterno admitted he knew Sandusky was a pedophile and he wishes he'd done more.

The irony is - this woman espouses exactly what the Tighty Whitey Righty club like to espouse as their values, which you mentioned. Yet, they never list her as one of their heroes, or hold her up as a "true American". She had the misfortune of being born female, poor and black so they won't acknowledge her success. However, if she had been born into an affluent white family with a European background - they would run over each other to wipe her ass with their tongue.
Not sure why you had to go racist and then assume incorrectly that whites don't her credit since she has millions of white fans, but I have a guess on your affluent white lady- Hillary Clinton? You voted for her because your party told you to so I think the club might actually be on the left. But hey, the important thing is that you did just as your masters wished without thought.

Well, Kap backs up his "commitment"...by not even voting.
Kaepernick has donated all of the proceeds from his jersey sales to charity, and his foundation has pledged over $1 Million to groups combatting hatred. To date, he's donated over $600,000.

I do just fine... you asked a question and I gave you an answer.

no you didn't

I asked you why people thought he was a Castro supporter.

And your reply was: "because they do"

Sigh let me use an example ... Kap comes out to a presser wearing Castro image on his t shirt talking about the great things he believes Castro did in cuba and ignoring all the murdering he did etc ... to me it would be like you going to a NAACP convention in Louisiana as a featured speaker and come out wearing a image of David duke on your t shirt ... you start telling everyone about the great things David duke did as a congressmen in Louisiana. The reaction by the NAACP convention people would be anger and not be able to hear a thing you said and continuously see that image of your t-shirt.

I have no problem with athletes sitting during the national anthem to protest whatever they want. It is honorable that Kap and others protest the injustice that has occurred in this country. Unfortunately it has zero chance to affect any change. Neither side wants to address the problems, and what's worse is most people on both sides have no idea what the problems are. Racists love the fact that people are arguing this stuff. They love that groups came out to protest their protest. It keeps divisions alive. Change requires serious people putting in serious time to change things on both sides. It is much easier to donate money, protest, or say the right things than to actually do what helps one person or one family at a time.

do me a favor. show me an image of the Castro shirt

Or another example maybe you could come down here to Miami and go to a jewish meeting wearing a hitler t shirt and tell everyone how hitler improved healthcare and the schools in Germany ... how do you think that would be received?

show me the shirt

With the benefit of hindsight.

also wore Black Panther T shirt to a presser, and the socks with pigs dressed as cops

oh so it isn't a "Castro" shirt. weird. almost like the media misrepresented what he was wearing. Love the hat.

Got it since Malcom x is on the shirt with Castro it's ok ... so feel free to wear your David duke and Malcom x t shirt to a NAACP meeting or your hitler Malcolm x t shirt to synagogue and tell people how they should feel just like your telling the Cubans how they should feel ... as you say it's just a misrepresentation o_O... I am outta this conversation I don't like hanging with people like you who try and justify the people you do and then tell people how to think and should feel ... didn't realize you were Cuban and fled the country for your life ... continue on the conversation though have a good day folks

HAHAHAHA

THT, just curious what's your opinion of Huey P. Newton?

I liked their first album, but thought they went soft with later crap like "Couple Days Off"

but . . . complicated Oakland boy. did some good founding the Black Panthers, but the man couldn't escape the thug life.

Yes, all after he was guilted into it by those calling him out for kneeling and not putting his money where his mouth was. I commend him for owning up to that and then donating but the criticism preceded the donations.

That's like Al Gore saying it is okay that his house used 20 times more energy than your house because he pays someone in South America to plant a tree.

hahahaha this is for you Kap haters:

Jags fan in Kap jersey

on a side note, I don't know what the hell is wrong with Bortles. I thought Houston should have drafted him, such talent in college.

and then there is this:

Blake Bortles has been so underwhelming even in practice, that wide receiver Allen Robinson was heard saying, “F**king keep the sh*t in bounds, bro. Goddamn.”

Borltes had the game of his life against us. Literally anything he threw was caught.

That was the first game I was to in person in a couple of years. I really didn't know anything about Bortles or about UCF for that matter. I just remember thinking this guy looks like a pro QB. His throws looked effortless. And you're right, his receivers were amazing that night.

Did he have an amazing TE or really tall WR? That guy killed us.

Not sure if this point has been made in this 6 page thread, but I think the Castro thing is relevant for more than just being offensive. To me, this shows that he's not very bright. He talks about America as if it's a racist country with a repressive government, while sporting the image of a man who kills or imprisons those who disagree with him. This raises the question - why the hell does anybody care what an athlete has to say about social issues? On a related note - why the hell does anybody care what an ESPN talking head has to say about social issues?

I seem to remember all of his WRs were really tall and had huge hands with huge gloves on them. Even from the upper deck in the south endzone, it looked like they had white butterfly nets on their hands.

well Storm Johnson ran roughshod over the D that day . . .

I went back to the box score . . . JJ Worton was the kid who killed the secondary . . .

yes the point has been made. it wasn't so much about Castro. I posted his full comments

and in a related note . . . crikey A Rob had 9 catches for 143 yds and a TD that game . . .

Shirt also had Malcom X on it - few people seem to get, or reference, this.

Per ESPN: Kaepernick has 4th best INT % in the NFL since 2012 - behind Brady, Rogers, and A. Smith.
It is all in the eye of the beholder. Cherry picking stats is easy. Kaepernick had 16 TD passes in 2016. Fewer than the likes of Blake Bortles, Ryan Tannehill, Trevor Simian, etc. His 4 int's were great but he only threw for 190 yards per game.

So to me Kaepernick is a perfect backup QB (good ball security and low production.) Is he willing to play for backup money?

+100. I was at that UCF/PSU game and thought he was tremendous. I thought he was going to have a really good NFL career but man he flat out stinks. If QB's can get the "yips" he's got'em.

You might be right and at this point Kap is a better QB. Yikes.
