forerunner 230 or 235? Outside of the price difference the only other difference is the the 235 has s built in heart monitor instead of a strap.

Any other similar watches out there? I'm a pretty avid runner and train for a marathon or two a year, but on the average usually I don't run more than 20 miles a week unless it's a week with a long run.

Was at Best Buy today looking at them with my son, who runs cross country. He really liked the 235, but I told him to do a little more research before we buy one.

We then went to Philadelphia Runner to buy shoes and the guy there, who is an avid runner, was wearing a 235. I talked to him about it and he loves it. Going back to Best Buy soon to get the 235.

I have a Garmin Fenix 3 and it is the first smart watch I actually love. The Garmin App is very good.

Since the Fenix 5 is out not, I'm hoping that the price of the Fenix 3s will drop and I can pick one up.

I have a Forerunner 235 and highly recommend it. The built in heart rate monitor is much more convenient than the old chest strap I had to wear with my old watch and the heart rate monitor yields accurate results. Plus it is very configurable so you can display the data fields that you find most helpful when you run.
