OT - Meanwhile in Pennsyltucky

Plus Sheetz, Mike Reid and that gal who beat those other girls up in a porta potty in Pittsburgh. That’s a well rounded list.
It's also famous for being the place where Luigi Mangione was apprehended at a McDonald's.

I could retire if I were Reina's real estate agent, moving from Wallingford to Chestnut Hill to Chesterbrook within 5 yrs.
Chesterbrook is the development basically in Valley Forge, right? And while parts of Wallingford are nice it has some other places too.

(I was really close to buying in both places at different times in my life.)

My mom grew up poor in the Garden City part of Wallingford (near Hepford Field). Is it still kind of shady? Haven’t been back in that part of town in decades.

Yes. Chesterbrook is very nice.

I've lived in Wallingford for nearly 25 years. Didn't know him but know about where he lived. It's among the nicer areas.

I had a contract on a townhouse in Wallingford. 2001ish. Forget the name. Had termites, sellers knew and didn’t disclose. I got out of the contract. Ended up buying in Ridley instead. My sister has lived in Wallingford for 25 years. Maybe more.

Wallingford Elementary School, Nether Providence (now Strath Haven) Middle School and Nether Providence/Strath Haven HS boy in the house. I miss all the greenery and creeks that surrounded us in Rose Valley/Moylan. Texas is largely butt-ugly

Nice. I could walk there (through the woods mainly past RVSP) in about 7 minutes from my house. Miss that area and my last family members (who lived pretty much across the street from the School) moved away last year out near Unionville. End of an era for us

Yeah, still is. I won't go in the area around the field at night. The gate from there to the townhouses got padlocked a couple months ago -- you can guess which side the locks are on.

Ask again in a decade or two, and it might get gentrified. The Comcast office on Moore is now an upscale daycare center. And ground just broke on a new 10-unit development on Moore between there and the elementary school.

White Claw suddenly making a lot more sense. Especially with hoagies, atop a Wawa trash can.

My eyes perked up when I read Rose Valley. There's a Rose Valley in Lycoming County, located about 3 miles east of Trout Run.

I always remember it for the old fruit farm on top of the Mountain there. A man-made 389 acre lake was built called the Rose Valley lake in the early 70's. Great scenery, hunting and fishing in that valley.

Stick with it long enough to hear him describe a sound as "ape mixed with fake owl."

I laughed.

Just going to leave this here

These guys are definitely more serious than the "interdimensional beings" "I lived with Bigfoot for ten years" people.

Where?

Can't complain too much. Arkansas had wildfires, hail, snow, and violent tornadoes on the same day a few weeks ago.
Tore the porch of my buddy's in-law's house. Thankfully, the house and the people inside were fine. Weather has certainly been crazy here in the Ozarks!

I attended a picnic near Lock Haven in mid July 1995. It was 57 and sunny that day. I wore a jacket. I live on the beaches of South Carolina now.
My grandfather would say you have pee in your blood! I don’t know how that would exactly work but any time I would say I was cold he would reply with that…. He was a farmer and used to being outdoors all day long all year long.

Living in the cold and wanting to live in the cold are two different things. I put in my prison sentence for 47 years. I am very happy

Couple years ago we spent the first 2 weeks of October in North Myrtle. We took a day trip to Charleston and did the tourist thing. It was 95 with clear blue skys in Charleston. When we got back to North Myrtle it had poured all day and the day's high was 58.
Struck me as odd.
