OT: question about Phi Eta Sigma

A while ago my daughter got an invitation to join the Penn State Chapter of Phi Eta Sigma National Honor Society.

Does anyone know anything about it, and is it worth it to join?

Congratulations, but probably not.

It's a legitimate honor society for freshmen who have attained the required GPA. But it shouldn't go on her resume.

Most honor societies are completely worthless

Many of them exist solely to collect funds from people who don't know any better, and mean zilch on a resume.
