Seems that Ron Rivera will be hired as head coach. (Callahan was interim head coach.)

The scuttlebutt had been that the football part of Allen’s responsibilities would be taken away but he’d stay with the organization.

Yeah, spot on, except for the “he won’t change” part. We’ll see about that. Allen was extraordinarily skilled in playing Snyder; now that this toxicity has been removed, there’s a chance.

Didn't see any posts critical of the hire, only the person doing the hiring. Rivera is only half the equation. They still need to replace Allen and have NEVER hired a quality football leader to the position.

This morning Barry Svrluga of the Washington Post was channeling fairfaxlion2. Allen was the guy who kept Snyder away from the football part, as much as he could manage. With him gone, unless DS finds someone else to play that role you can expect DS to be more hands-on. Which will make the problem worse. It all depends on DS making it work; Svrluga is very skeptical that he’ll manage to do this.
