OT: Reviving Friday Jukebox

How about my boys from Manchester, England! Reunited for a 2025 tour after 15 years separated!

Just saw these boys in September in Charlotte with Breaking Benjamin, along with Daughtry. Phenomenal concert. Saw Aaron Lewis in Roanoke, VA the month before.

Train. Patrick Monahan from Erie, PA. Went west to SF because of the influence of Steve Perry of Journey.

First concert I ever took my boys to in Greensboro, NC just after Covid.

I waited 20 years to see Matchbox 20, then they canceled their concert in Raleigh, NC due to Covid. It was worth the wait. Last Summer, they played for over 3 hours. Rob Thomas and the band were beyond awesome!

Streetcorner Symphony written by Rob Thomas of Matchbox 20 and Matt Serletic. Dude is a God songwriter.

By far, my favorite, U2 song ever performed. Written by the Edge and Bono. Live version with just Bono and the Edge on keyboards. Pure magic.

Also, written by Bono. Live, no help on vocals. Just pure vocals.

Written by Bono. Not a Rebel Song. It actually was regarding the troubles in N Ireland, and the the Easter uprising in 1916 in Dublin, Ireland. The Troubles started in Derry, now known as Londonderry where my kin come from.

Don Randi turns 88 today. He is a session piano player and was part of the so-called Wrecking Crew. He played on many very well know songs, such as The Beach Boys "God Only Knows,", "Good Vibrations," "Help Me, Rhonda," and "Wouldn't It Be Nice," The Ronnettes "Be My Baby" and The Righteous Brothers' "You've Lost That Lovin' Feelin'" and "Unchained Melody."

Here are some of the many others he played on.

Imagine the giants of the industry this man has crossed paths with over his long life. Mind boggling.

I read the other day that "Cracklin' Rosie" is a song about "cracking open a bottle of Rosé (wine)".

Brings a whole new meaning to the lyrics.

🎶Cracklin' Rosie you're a store bought w🍷man🎶
Wow, had to look it up. Pretty cool.

The song "Cracklin' Rosie" by Neil Diamond is about the lonely men of a Canadian tribe who would drink wine together. The song's inspiration came from a story about a tribe with more men than women.
