There’s also this thing called an unfollow button. You’re still their friend but don’t see posts by them. Seems like a simple and better solution than bitching about it here.Basically, you are correct.

IG is old. Snap Chat is the current platformFacebooks is for old farts, the youthful prefer instagram, so younger folks tell me. I’ve never been a social media guy. Just don’t find the concept interesting at all. If you’re into it, good on ya
I don’t think it’s to excessive. One thing to remember, posting it on Facebook is also a method of storage . They can go back on their timeline and look at their vacation photos .
Very true, say we’re at a family gathering , people talk about different things . I have a cousin who’s a gymnastic mom and is annoying with it. Another is a hockey mom and I find that more interesting. This, plus Facebook is used as a method of journaling for some people.

I get you've been married 30 some years and don't get away, but reallly?
I don’t get the whole social media thing in general. It seems to just make people complain about what they see their “friends” post.

I’ve thought about this. I think the difference is between some character named “heckmans” saying something and somebody I know named Joe Smith saying something. While it may all be classified as social media, one style (Instagram, Facebook, etc...) is personalized while sites like this are generally faceless.Yes sir.
