Republicans ran the AG's office for decades until Kane was elected, and now Shapiro. I don't think anything can be blamed on "one-party rule".
I didn't know that the new one was a Dem (I don't vote in PA), but that was my point, actually- and for how long have they controlled the legislature? You need to churn them over all the time, not that either party is honest in any way

Honestly, with all that we have seen - from all of these hypocritical leg-pissers, it really makes it hard to believe in the existence of any type of "innate human decency"......... you know, all that "religion-y" stuff.
When such an overwhelming majority (a "unanimous" majority?) of EVERYONE we see in positions of power and influence - - - - behaves solely to serve their own self-interests (either directly, or as proxies for those who in turn satisfy their self-interests) - - - -
How can one believe that "man" is some inherently "divine" or "evolved" species.......endowed with some structural sense of morality - and all that jazz?

)I don't know if it be entirely true or not.......but I do think that what is clear - from a practical sense - one is much better off, is going to be much more accurate and effective, to assume anyone in a position of influence will default to serving their own self-interests - - - - unless and until one can make it more painful for them to NOT do that. ie, Make it "in their self-interests" to do the right thing.
Now....that's a tricky bitch to accomplish. But, at least if we start by understanding what we are dealing with, we have a better shot (maybe not a good shot, but "better") to be somewhat effective.
The priest in that movie, William Parham, was pastor at my church (where I went to middle school) in Tennessee around my 7th grade year. This was 20 years ago.

Seeing how local and state officials handled the 1998 complaint and "sting", Seasock and Lauro negated Dr. Chambers evaluation and the TSM CEO suggested swim trunks as a best practice when showering with someone else's kid, it would be something if she made some hardcharging public statements at a press conference.

Why? She was as big of a fool as was Corbett, Fina.. She broke the law and is going to do the time she deserves. Not saying they don't deserve time, but she is in the same category as they are IMO.
If Kane deserves prison time for her "crime" surely nothing short of a firing squad is warranted for Corbett and Fina.
