Doing great job at Florida Gulf Coast, per reports off to best start in School's history. This is a team that went to the sweet 16 several years ago. Launching spot for coaches on the rise or rebuilding careers. i live in the area, Chambers gets positive press coverage.

chambers was/is a really nice person. He and his family were very good for the state college community. Shame he got caught up in all the racial issues. I don't think he has a racist bone in his body. Somehow made a wrong analogy or made an analogy and it was taken incorrectly.

Great to hear and hope he dusts off the PSU squad… and gets to the tournament. I like what the Shrew is doing but the Chamber’s crap with Sandy and Lynn is an unnecessary stain and both should be gone. For some treason Lynn still has a job. Wokeness brought down Chambers and we all know what happens when you go woke.

Then you go to Hillsdale College, no woke there, do they have any teams?

Pat was a very good coach - not exception - but quite good. He was going to turn around PSU…eventually. However, there were aspects of his coaching / preparation that were very lacking

The issues with Chambers at PSU obviously went beyond the issues with Bolton...but I guess that's a nice narrative for some to cling to for some reason so that the blame can be placed on Sandy or "wokeness".

He's got a solid squad at FGCU, but unfortunately at that level, the entire season comes down to the conference tournament. Liberty is going to be tough to beat in the ASun this year.

There are a lot of guys with PSU ties that I'm following throughout D1 this season...Pat, Ed is still at Navy, Danny Earl at Chattanooga, Brian Earl at Cornell, Ferry at UMBC, and Urgo at Fordham.

Huh? Chambers could have and should have been fired for failing to produce a winning program over a long span. Instead he was fired because of wokeness.

Inbounds plays at the end of games were not a strength.

Passion. Commitment. Salesmanship. Fire. Yes.

I kept rooting for him to turn the corner. Came close, but in the end his results us whatever the b.s. was ended him here.

Glad he is doing well and eased we have Shrew. BTW "that player" Rashir Bolton has started at Gonzaga the last 2 years and now is a meaningful contributor. Watched him the other night vs BYU. Also watched Buckets Jones' last few games as a Gator.

They have gone in opposite directions. While Myreon is a starter too, his future likely would've been better at PSU

I can count on one hand the number of times during his tenure that they ran a baseline or sideline in bounds play for a basket. Drove me crazy that all they worried about was getting the ball in and then into their ‘offense’. I know Ferry was part of that but at some point you’ve got to change something.

Fran McCaffrey is a real dick and I don’t know if I’d want a kid of mine to play for him but Pat should’ve watched some of his sets and learned from them. Exceptional x and o guy.

McCaffrey has a massive temper if he thinks his team has been wronged by officiating somehow. He can come across as a raving lunatic. But he seems like an OK guy in other settings, and maybe that's why he's still got a job. I don't know if players see the angry guy off court or not.

Both Fran and Chambers are cut from the same Delco cloth and I'd bet my home that they know each other well.

Hard driven grit is a characteristic which that region prides itself on. It may seem a little offputting to those not from there.

Not to mention that we were so predictable with our 5 posting up at the elbow that some teams started jumping it with their wings.

Ed was always so underrated with his BLOB plays…got Claxton a lot of backdoor cuts for dunks while he was here.

I was just saying that when I watched Florida play a few weeks ago…Myreon went from one of the better players on the Big Ten in 2020 to a role player coming off the bench for a decent, but not great, Florida team three years later.
