Patterson is lucky the NCAA hooked him and michigan up with an absurd transfer. He NEVER should have been playing last year. Complete horsecrap. And his family has the nerve to complain. Perfect michigan family, totally arrogant to the point of being tone-deaf.
Patterson does not have the skill set needed for Gattis’s offense. It all goes back on the head coach.

He also called Harbaugh an average college qb at Michigan. I think that he was a very good college qb, much better than Patterson ever will be, and also a decent NFL qb who almost took the Colts to the Super Bowl.

Harbaugh had Greg Roman running the O for him at Stanford and San Fran. He has now been confirmed to be an odd duck and a failure at UM.
Godwin and Hamilton (also NFL'ers) were still there (or just arriving in Godwin's case). And some kid named Barkley came along. The O-line was probably the most significant change from Hack's freshman to sophomore years. Hack set a single game passing yardage record his first game under Franklin / Donovan. But then Northwestern showed everyone the formula and things went downhill from there. Or my memory stinks and I have it all wrong.

Roman was my fave when we were looking post-Paterno; Jersey guy who grew up liking Penn State and I loved his offense at Stanford.

According to Gattis, Patterson has taken his on-field ability to the next level this offseason. "Oh, Shea is playing lights out right now," Gattis said. "I was a little bit worried about him coming into camp because he spent so much time on the golf course this summer!"

Looking at Bo's legendary career, he seemed to reliably lose 2-3 per season and lost almost every major bowl they entered.
Odd duck for sure. Overpaid for sure. A drain on UM's seemingly limitless resources for sure. A failure, not yet. Could be though. And UM fans are certainly engaging in the whining they mock us for. That's fun to watch.
Interesting to think how the trajectory of Michigan and PSU is altered if OSU doesnt get that 4th down in overtime of their 2016 game. One inch changed a lot.
