The win by Penn State gave the program a season with double digits in the win total. It’s the third time in the last four years Penn State has won 10 or more games. This marks the first time since Penn State’s first four seasons in the Big Ten that the Nittany Lions have won 10 or more games in three out of four seasons.

Yeah, but you had bye weeks before both Michigan and Ohio State for the first few years, too. That was a big gift.

That's the spirit. The Bucks put up another basketball score on you, but you climbed out of bed for some damage control. Bravo!

You have to give @Code Blue a lot of credit. His team was smashed today and he is on the board of a third team whining. That takes dedication. It is heart like that that keeps Michigan over performing to finish 3rd in the B1G East Division year after year.

not really when you consider Paternos record following bye weeks
Considering Paterno lost 9 in a row to Michigan, I’m not sure what this UM guy is complaining about.

On a side note, it’s interesting that the Franklin haters hold him to a different standard than Paterno. Franklin gets crushed yet Paterno was limp against UM, OSU and Iowa.

There was only an 11 game schedule in the early years and we might also have had a tougher OOC game in some years. Regardless it's still quite impressive.

Penn State had another impressive run from 2005 - 2011 (until the JS crap).
2005 11-1
2006 9-4
2007 9-4
2008 11-2
2009 11-2
2010 7-6
2011 8-1 (Only loss was to Alabama until JS scandal hit)

Averaged nearly 10 wins over 7 years.

Except it's pretty rare to play both consecutively - bye week in the middle or not. Yet somehow we got it right off the bat

What flavor cheese do you want with that whine? 8 TDS yesterday in the Big House. Hairbaugh 0 for his career against OSU, no Big Ten titles and a QB “guru” who has yet to recruit and develop one. I think Michigan should give him a raise and extension.
