Franklin's been "allowing" it his entire tenure so if him saying otherwise is meaningless or it wouldn't still be happening consistently. It's on him. It's never fine. Yeah, they might be able to get away with it, but ask Franklin if it's "fine."
Our pass defense has been a bit underwhelming compared to what many expected. Doesn't help that not a single true DE can get to the QB.
Maybe, but putting up points first is big. Also, if Lions had run that play on 4th and 1, everyone would be screaming bloody murder.4th & 1 is tough to kick a FG on the road against a top 10 team
I don't like it when we drop 280 pound defensive ends into coverage and then expect them to make tackles in the open field and play pass coverage.Their back-up QB played pretty well on that first drive.
Yeah, if it looks this bad in early October, imagine what it's going to look like in late November.I see what you are talking about. It's really beat up.
See--I would have gone for that if it was us too at this point of the gameMaybe, but putting up points first is big. Also, if Lions had run that play on 4th and 1, everyone would be screaming bloody murder.

Agreed....what the hell is up with our field? Looks horrible! Maybe playing on it when it was raining? For having one of the premiere turf grass management programs in the county, the field looks substandard.
True...we also brought in multiple guys from SEC schools, a couple who were starters. It didn't look as dire compared to the Peach Bowl. And, Kalen stunk in 2023.We replaced 3 corners that were multi year starters. Who expected the '24 CB room to be on par with the '23 group?

I still think the receivers aren't doing what Drew wants them to do--I think he expected Fleming to stop not run into coverage thereDrew missed that throw. Would love to get Julian in the groove.

I don't know why everything thinks every incompletion is on the QBAllar isn't impressing scouts.

Having this much perceived miscommunication is unacceptable at this point.I still think the receivers aren't doing what Drew wants them to do--I think he expected Fleming to stop not run into coverage there
Four home games in a row. Not at home again for four weeks. Time for improvement.Yeah, if it looks this bad in early October, imagine what it's going to look like in late November.

Not having Singleton also can stop the running game.No team can stop Penn State's running game better than Penn State's coaches.

Saw the deep post open up, but the play took too long to develop, and the line didn't hold up.
Miscommunication or the WRs can't read coverage?Having this much perceived miscommunication is unacceptable at this point.
