This is Franklin's opportunity to show he can play with the big boys. Dominate Maryland today and shock the CFB playoff by upsetting Oregon in Indy.

Well, not a great start for Penn State as Nicholas Singleton fumbles the ball on the first play from scrimmage and Maryland takes over at the Nittany Lions' 25-yard line.

Stupid. Snap it to Allen standing next to Allar? How often does Allen take snaps? The fact that AK would even call that play after a fumble series makes me question his common sense.

This is why I don't think cold weather is an advantage for this team. Ball security and passing are more difficult. So is open field tackling. We should be running off tackle and throwing short passes to the flat.

While I understand that, at the end of the day, winning the conference should be a goal. The opportunity is here. We should want it.
I mean, yeah, at this point, the goal is to win the game and then beat Oregon--it's just not ideal having to play an extra game
I still think the #1 seed has one of the toughest paths but maybe we'd be 2

Of course you want to play for a conference championship, I can't stand the loser mentality of hoping that we don't. Yes you play an extra game but our travel to Indy is a heck of a lot shorter, and one would think we would at least have half the place filled if not more. Yes I think Oregon would probably beat us by a few scores as I don't think our offense could keep up with them, but who knows, this sport is absolutely crazy.

But to have this shot to win a conference championship is a no-brainer. And if you win you get a bye week which is way more valuable than opening up in the first round at home even as exciting as that might be. If you can win fewer games to win the national title, logically that makes more sense.
