Is the bye better? In theory, if we're the 1/2 seed we could get Ohio State or Tennessee or ND in our first game. If we're the 5/6 seed we get ACC/Big XII/AQ after probably Indiana
They have to fix the system because the top teams are penalized with matchups

Who's to say the matchups at home would be any easier as opposed to playing Tennessee who I think is very beatable? We've seen how crazy this sport is and the idea to want to play more games because your first round matchup is favorable to me is just asinine. It's like hoping to play an easier opponent in any professional sports season rather than having a bye in the first round that's just nuts to me
Only knock on the defense this season has been not forcing enough turnovers, but this would be a great time for one. Feels like it would really help settle things down.

I remember being at the Michigan State game in 2016. Very similar situation. Playing a 4-7 team at home just needing a win to head to Indy. Early on you could feel things being a bit tense in the stadium, then the offense got into gear and the floodgates opened. Very similar vibes in this game thus far.

100%. All of this forecasting is to who we could play in the first round compared to the second is ridiculous. If you're a Penn State fan you want to win championships whether that be a conference title, a national title or both.
Ohio state is not getting 5th seed if we win conference. It would be Oregon/Texas
Lando do you understand that we can't even predict who our first round matchup would be compared to a second round... there's no official bracket yet and in a grueling sport like this if you think having to win four games in a row compared to three is more beneficial, I highly disagree.
