It's only been a few snaps but this is the best and most explosive that DDS has looked since pre-injury
Why? In the current set up why?Of course you want to play for a conference championship, I can't stand the loser mentality of hoping that we don't. Yes you play an extra game but our travel to Indy is a heck of a lot shorter, and one would think we would at least have half the place filled if not more. Yes I think Oregon would probably beat us by a few scores as I don't think our offense could keep up with them, but who knows, this sport is absolutely crazy.
But to have this shot to win a conference championship is a no-brainer. And if you win you get a bye week which is way more valuable than opening up in the first round at home even as exciting as that might be. If you can win fewer games to win the national title, logically that makes more sense.
Where’s the crowd?
Exactly what I said on the other threadWhy? In the current set up why?
The goal is to win a national title not a Big Ten title
Is the bye better? In theory, if we're the 1/2 seed we could get Ohio State or Tennessee or ND in our first game. If we're the 5/6 seed we get ACC/Big XII/AQ after probably Indiana
They have to fix the system because the top teams are penalized with matchups
A lot of DL want to play at around 280 now because of Aaron Donald's successI’ll continue to say this - both of our lines suck. Other than Durant and Carter, Dlineman blow. When the Eff is is Franklin going to recruit true DT’s instead of thirty kids who are 6’4” 220 “Athletes” coming out of HS.
Who's to say the matchups at home would be any easier as opposed to playing Tennessee who I think is very beatable? We've seen how crazy this sport is and the idea to want to play more games because your first round matchup is favorable to me is just asinine. It's like hoping to play an easier opponent in any professional sports season rather than having a bye in the first round that's just nuts to meWhy? In the current set up why?

Nothing specific but i imagine that depending on the injury, its likely more precaution this week than anything.Do we have any idea what Harrison Wallace's injury is or why he's questionable...which how this season is gone is not surprising in the least

Terrible holding call to negate a big play, and that wasn't tripping. Watch it carefully.
Hard to stretch the field when they have no wide receivers who could stretch the field consistently. This is what happens when you do not stretch the field.

Yes agreed but it's also up to your coordinator to be able to scheme guys open with crossing routes and things like that that don't necessarily require blazing speed. every team in the country does it and somehow we don't seem to be able toHard to stretch the field when they have no wide receivers who could stretch the field consistently.
Yupp--the Big Ten wants Maryland to winGonna be another one-sided b2g clown crew Officiated game - Maryland has passed on nearly every play (and held every play) - no flags. PSU's first Pass completion - holding.
There is no way you can predict the match-ups at this point. A big 10 championship would still be cool to have and I would like a bye.A 1st round game without playing Oregon in a title game is absolutely more favorable
Let's say we beat Oregon and we're the 1 seed--our reward is likely playing Ohio State again.
It's all about matchups and the path not a single game
I don't care about getting to the quarters if you lose. The goal is to win a title.
I don't care about a Big Ten title--if you do that's greatThere is no way you can predict the match-ups at this point. A big 10 championship would still be cool to have and I would like a bye.
100%. All of this forecasting is to who we could play in the first round compared to the second is ridiculous. If you're a Penn State fan you want to win championships whether that be a conference title, a national title or both. There is no way you can predict the match-ups at this point. Ohio state is not getting 5th seed if we win conference. It would be Oregon/TexasThere is no way you can predict the match-ups at this point. A big 10 championship would still be cool to have and I would like a bye.
Lando do you understand that we can't even predict who our first round matchup would be compared to a second round... there's no official bracket yet and in a grueling sport like this if you think having to win four games in a row compared to three is more beneficial, I highly disagree.I don't care about a Big Ten title--if you do that's great
I want to win a national title. It's liking winning your division in the NFL--it means nothing if you don't win it all.
its true, and you really get screwed if you go to ccg and lose. Why? In the current set up why?

So going in and beating #1 and winning the Big 10 gives the team no confidence and they actually play worse after that? Get outta here.I don't care about a Big Ten title--if you do that's great

Why? What is the significance of a Big Ten title? Who cares--it just gets you a playoff spot which we have even if we lose to Maryland100%. Just so I understand this--assuming we win, you believe that's going to give us the confidence to beat Ohio State in our first gameSo going in and beating #1 and winning the Big 10 gives the team no confidence and they actually play worse after that? Get outta here.
