From Philly area guys, what's the skinny on Abraham Lincoln.

Lincoln is extremely athletic and big with quick guards. Outside shooting can be suspect but their one guard can be really good from the 3 point line. Even though they have size, their post players are not that skilled with their backs to the basket. They prefer to get up and down and beat teams on the offensive boards and with the press. Looking at just pure talent they are better than Hazleton (have seen both teams play), but Lincoln is capable of beating themselves (shot selection and turnovers). If Hazleton limits turnovers and keeps them off the boards like Hempfield did, they can win.

I’m a bit shocked the Cougars are at this point. I thought no Hazleton team would ever get this far again given Philly schools in the PIAA.

The 93 cougars are still probably the best modern team in HASD history, but I think these guys have maybe surpassed the “mounts magic” teams of the late 80’s. Really cool to see a run like this at least one more time.
