Phils traded Joaquin Benoit to the Pirates for Seth McGarry.

Weird trade for the Pirates. McGarry is dominating, though he is somewhat old for advanced single A.

As a Phillies fan...I like.

Benoit is about as old as baseball and has stunk this year. Can they send Neris with him?

It is a weird one for the Pirates since Benoit hasn't exactly been Mr. Dependable this year. As a Phillies fan I have no problem with it. They can now give an audition to another young arm.

All the Phils trades were made with cash included to help pay off the rentals and get the Phils a better prospect(s) in return.

McGarry isn't exactly a top prospect for them. An old middle reliever in A ball. Who cares. Their top middle reliever prospects are starting now. You will never here from him again unless its as a 27 year old middle reliever making his debut.
