A little surprising on the bottom side, with the returning state champ losing.
Top half result really stinks.
Bouzakis has not been blowing people away in this tournament. Wirnsberger has a real chance tomorrow.

Harer-Botero should be awesome. Gonna give us a real idea of just how good Harer is.
Couple of guys from schools separated by about 10 miles but from different regions. Should be good.
Wagner would be a candidate for most improved. I don’t believe he placed at regionals his sophomore year. Almost made State final.
Still super proud of Brady. He’s a great kid. Hoping he can fight back for 3rd.

2 of 3 got into the finals ... too bad it was the senior who didn't.
Warrior Run should be around top 5, because of that family.

It would have been truly amazing if the Milheim’s went back to back to back in the finals. Really close.

Also, I really hate the current tournament schedule. It’s an embarrassment that AAA semis are relegated to Saturday morning,
Ridge got one through to the finals. Don't know how much of a shot he has tomorrow, but still pretty good.
Deputy is a good wrestler. He may well be a state champ someday, maybe even get multiple. This was the expected finals. Deputy has some shot, but Seidel will be favored and beat him 6-2 at King of the Mountain.

What is the issue.
There was a time the schedules flip flopped every year. I know AAA folks weren't wild about that scheduling. Eventually, based mostly on championship attendance numbers it was decided Friday would be AA QF and SF, and AAA QF. Then Saturday AAA SF, AA finals and AAA championships.
Better ideas are good to hear though.

I always wanted a chance to wrestle against girls. Unfortunately, I was 185/Hwt..
IMO it would be better if both sets of semis were Friday, and Saturdays were strictly finals/medal matches.
But I'm not sure that's realistic, especially after the extra matches when PIAA went to 20/weight.
Yeah, I don't think they are going to find the time to do that. At least sort of starting on Wednesday.
I had to work at the glass block plant in Port Allegany at my first job out of college auditing the plant. When the people told me to go into town, which was Coudersport, and I drove right through it, I knew I was in the middle of nowhere. For my money the AAA semis are typically the best round of the weekend and get buried at an awful time. And I say that as someone with no school affiliation.
I don’t know how you do it, but gotta get both semis in the evening.
What if semis were AA afternoon and AAA evening, mirroring the finals?
They'd probably have to run 2 rounds + all pigtails on Thursday (and a metric crapton of consis), so maybe not realistic.
I do agree the AAA semis are specular from a wrestling fan's perspective, but figuring out a solution that does not require an extra day is going to be difficult.
