Class AAA Semifinals

106:
Semi 1: Tyson Klump (NE-1, Nazareth, 11th) vs. Geor Barzona (NW-2, Central Mountain, 10th)
Klump has a great 1st period, and is clearly in control. It's 9-1 in the 2nd. Barzona hit a 5-point move in the 2nd, but had given up too many points. Klump wins 11-6
Semi 2: Aiden Burke (SE-2, Council Rock North, 10th) vs. Cole Manley (NW-1, Altoona, 10th)
Manley with a TD in the 1st period, and another one in the 2nd, to go up 4-1. Burke with a late TD in the 3rd, but not enough time. Manley wins 4-3

Final will be Tyson Klump (NE-1, Nazareth, 11th) vs. Cole Manley (NW-1, Altoona, 10th)

113:
Semi 1: Devin Brown (SW-1, Franklin Regional, 12th) vs. Daniel Moran (NE-2, Northampton, 10th)
Pretty much all Brown, as he wins 8-0. He did need to take injury time for some issue with his knee, in the 3rd period.
Semi 2: Gage Curry (SW-2, North Hills, 11th) vs. Dustin Steffenino (SE-1, Upper Perkiomen, 12th)
Kind of a tight, technical battle, with Curry getting the win, 5-3

Final will be Devin Brown (SW-1, Franklin Regional, 12th) vs. Gage Curry (SW-2, North Hills, 11th)
This is a replay of last weekend's SW Regional Final

120:
Semi 1: Sammy Sasso (NE-1, Nazareth, 9th) vs. Derek Gulotta (SE-1, Owen J. Roberts, 12th)
Sasso was in control throughout the bout, and won 5-1
Semi 2: Spencer Lee (SW-1, Franklin Regional, 10th) vs. Derek Wilson (SC-3, South Western, 11th)
Lee with another dominant performance. He was up 7-0 in the 1st, and then worked a double arm bar for the pin at 1:17.

Final will be Sammy Sasso (NE-1, Nazareth, 9th) vs. Spencer Lee (SW-1, Franklin Regional, 10th)

126:
Semi 1: Luke Karam (NE-1, Beca, 11th) vs. Chandler Olsen (SC-1, Shippensburg, 10th)
Karam got a TD in the 1st, and an esc in the 2nd to go up 3-0. Olsen got a TD in the 3rd. Closer match than most thought. Final score was 4-2, Karam
Semi 2: Zack Trampe (SE-2, Council Rock South, 10th) vs. Lucas Miller (SE-3, Boyertown, 11th)
An all SE Regional semi. Excellent match, but Trampe gets the win, 3-2.

Final will be Luke Karam (NE-1, Beca, 11th) vs. Zack Trampe (SE-2, Council Rock South, 10th)

132:
Semi 1: DJ Fehlman (NW-1, Warren, 12th) vs. Luke Pletcher (SW-2, Greater Latrobe, 11th)
Pletcher had 2 falls heading into the semi, but had a much tougher time with Fehlman. Pletcher with the 5-2 victory.
Semi 2: Jake Hinkson (SW-4, North Allegheny, 10th) vs. AC Headlee (SW-1, Waynesburg, 12th)
Headelee built a 6-2 lead in the 1st, and just totally dominated. He got a 21-6 TF at the 5:58 mark.

Final will be Luke Pletcher (SW-2, Greater Latrobe, 11th) vs. AC Headlee (SW-1, Waynesburg, 12th)
This is a replay of last weekend's SW Regional Final

138:
Semi 1: Sam Krivus (SW-1, Hempfield Area, 12th) vs. Stephen Maloney (NE-1, Beca, 11th)
Krivus showed why he's ranked #1 in the country at 138, with a 8-3 victory, that wasn't as close as the score.
Semi 2: Dom Giannangeli (SW-3, Franklin Regional, 12th) vs. Cameron Coy (SW-2, Penn Trafford, 10th)
Giannangeli has been the surprise for FR so far at States. Unfortunately for him, he couldn't mount anything against Cameron Coy, as Coy got the win, 3-0

Final will be Sam Krivus (SW-1, Hempfield Area, 12th) vs. Cameron Coy (SW-2, Penn Trafford, 10th)
Another replay of last weekend's SW Regional Final

145:
Semi 1: Michael Kemerer (SW-1, Franklin Regional, 12th) vs. Jonathan Ross (SC-2, Northern York, 11th)
Future Hawkeye Kemerer continued his dominance with a pin at the 2:59 mark
Semi 2: Chase Gallik (NE-2, Wallenpaupack, 12th) vs. Patrick Duggan (SC-1, Cumberland Valley, 12th)
Duggan scored a TD in the 1st period, and then Gallik had to default with a shoulder injury.

Final will be Michael Kemerer (SW-1, Franklin Regional, 12th) vs. Patrick Duggan (SC-1, Cumberland Valley, 12th)
This could be one of the better battles this evening.

152:
Semi 1: Vincenzo Joseph (SW-1, Pittsburgh Central Catholic, 12th) vs. Kaleb Young (NW-1, Punxsutawney, 11th)
This was the most anticipated semi, with Cenzo heading to PSU, and Young already verballed to Iowa for their 2016 Class. Cenzo was in control pretty much the entire match, and won 13-3.
Semi 2: Michael Labriola (NE-2, Beca, 10th) vs. Josn Maruca (SW-2, Franklin Regional, 12th)
Probably the best semifinal so far. In regular time, they each had an esc, so it was 1-1 at the end of regulation. In the 1st OT period, Labriola appeared to get a TD, and was awarded it, but the call was overturned. Maruca ended up winning it on a reversal in the tiebreaker. Final was 3-1 TB

Final will be Vincenzo Joseph (SW-1, Pittsburgh Central Catholic, 12th) vs. Josn Maruca (SW-2, Franklin Regional, 12th)
Another SW Regional Final repeat

160:
Semi 1: Bailey Shutt (SC-1, Lower Dauphin, 11th) vs. Josh Shields (SW-1, Franklin Regional, 12th)
Josh Shields was a machine. He lead 15-4 after 2 periods, and just missed a TF, winning 19-6
Semi 2: Noah Stewart (NW-1, Mifflin County, 11th) vs. Cody Cordes (NE-1, Wyoming Valley West, 12th)
Another great semi, with Cordes pulling out the victory in the ultimate tiebreaker, 3-2 UTB

Final will be Josh Shields (SW-1, Franklin Regional, 12th) vs. Cody Cordes (NE-1, Wyoming Valley West, 12th)
Believe this was the 1st Class AAA weight class where all 4 semifinalists were Regional winners

170:
Semi 1: Jared Siegrist (SC-1, Manheim Central, 11th) vs. TeShan Campbell (SW-1, Penn Hills, 12th)
Campbell continues his nice run with a 6-3 decision.
Semi 2: DJ Hollingshead (NW-1, Altoona, 12th) vs. Jake Shaffer (SW-3, Greater Latrobe, 11th)
Hollingshead picks up the win with a 6-3 decision.

Final will be TeShan Campbell (SW-1, Penn Hills, 12th) vs. DJ Hollingshead (NW-1, Altoona, 12th)

182:
Semi 1: John Jakobsen (NE-1, Stroudsburg, 11th) vs. Casey Glunt (SC-2, James Buchanan, 12th)
Jakobsen with a cradle and 2 NF in 2nd, but Glunt got a reversal. Jakobsen leads 3-2 to start the 3rd. He gets the esc, 4-2. Wild scramble, but no points. 40 sec. to go. Wow, Glunt with the TD with 20 sec. left to tie it 4-4. Only the 2nd time Jakobsen has been taken down all year -- what a lousy time to give up the TD. Injury time for Glunt. Jackobsen with an esc in TB to get the win, 5-4 TB
Semi 2: Josh Colello (SC-1, Cedar Cliff, 11th) vs. Kellan Stout (SW-1, Mt. Lebanon, 12th)
Stout was very impressive on his feet, and wins convincingly, 7-0, and has still yet to give up a point at States.

Final will be John Jakobsen (NE-1, Stroudsburg, 11th) vs. Kellan Stout (SW-1, Mt. Lebanon, 12th)
Even without the PSU connection, this shapes up to be a great final.

195:
Semi 1: Drew Phipps (SW-1, Norwin, 11th) vs. Tommy Rayhart (SC-1, Big Spring, 12th)
Score was 2-2 in the 3rd, and Rayhart got the esc to go up 3-2, which is how it ended.
Semi 2: Francis Duggan (SC-2, Cumberland Valley, 9th) vs. Jan Johnson (SC-3, Governor Mifflin, 12th)
PSU football walk-on (and returning State Champ) Johnson keeps things rolling with a 3-0 victory. He had a TD in the 2nd, and then a rideout in the 3rd.

Final will be Tommy Rayhart (SC-1, Big Spring, 12th) vs. Jan Johnson (SC-3, Governor Mifflin, 12th)
Johnson has defeated Rayhart 3 of the 4 times they faced, but Rayhart won 2 weeks ago at D3 quarterfinals, 3-2.

220:
Semi 1: Seth Janney (SC-1, South Western, 10th) vs. Tyler Worthing (SW-1, Kiski Area, 11th)
Worthlng up 3-1 in the 2nd. Janney ties it up, 3-3, and that's the score heading into the 3rd. Janney with an esc and TD for 3 points in the 3rd, to win 6-3.
Semi 2: Oma Haddad (NE-1, Parkland, 12th) vs. Jordan Wood (SE-1, Boyertown, 11th)
Wood wins 3-2. He was up 3-1 and then hit with a stall warning for riding an ankle with 47 sec. left, and then hit with stalling at 3 sec left.

Final will be Seth Janney (SC-1, South Western, 10th) vs. Jordan Wood (SE-1, Boyertown, 11th)
Pretty surprising to have a 220 final with 2 underclassmen

285:
Semi 1: Bo Spiller (SC-1, Solanco, 12th) vs. Ryan Monk (NE-2, Dallas Area, 12th)
Spiller up 3-0 in the 2nd. That score holds thru the 3rd, so Spiller wins 3-0.
Semi 2: Andrew Dunn (NE-1, Beca, 12th) vs. Tommy Killoran (SE-1, Boyertown, 11th)
Dunn is dominating. Leading 13-4 in the 3rd. Dunn wins 15-5 to make it to the finals.

Finals will be Bo Spiller (SC-1, Solanco, 12th) vs. Andrew Dunn (NE-1, Beca, 12th)

Appears that the WPIAL has 13 finalists in Class AAA and 8 finalists in Class AA. That is amazing. No argument as to where the best wrestling in the Commonwealth is this year.

Wow the SW regional guys are kicking some arse right now.

Dominate win by Joseph over the future hawk and my hometown kid.

I was going to say, the PennLive brackets have Maruca winning 3-1 in OT

170 finals: TeShan Campbell (Penn Hills SR, uncommitted) vs. DJ Hollingshead (Altoona SR, Bucknell).

182 finals: Kellan Stout vs. John Jakobsen (Stroudsburg JR, Lehigh commit).

195 finals: Jan Johnson vs. Tommy Rayhart -- who beat Johnson in regional quarters.

220 finals: Jordan Wood vs. Seth Janney (South Western).

285 finals: Andrew Dunn (Beca) vs. Bo Spiller (Solanco). Spiller beat PSU football commit Ryan Monk 3-0.
