PIAA State Tournament -- AA on 3/12 and AAA on 3/13

Not sure how under the radar a 2x PA state champ can be ...

Agreed that he will be very good. The problem is that we're in great shape at his target weight, and 2022 is a very good year both nationally and for PA.

If he were still available, I'd prioritize both Bouzakis and Haines ahead of him (though Haines looks headed toward 157). And if we weren't so loaded at the upper weights, one could argue for Pitzer and maybe Franklin ahead of him too. That's just within PA -- we know the coaches have talked with some non-residents too.

It's a shame we can't get them all. OTOH, rings and banners.
Oh I completely understand why he didnt fit in the PSU recruiting picture. Im just saying that he'll be another Sasso in the sense that we'll see a ton of revisionist history down the road. I fully expect him to be a monster in college.

Maybe that'll happen on the board in a few years. But the Sassogasms here are largely Lehigh Valley fans wishing their native son had stayed home -- and started when word got around that he wouldn't be coming to PSU, even before he committed to Ohio State.

Not seeing the same hometown intensity among the Johnstown fans. (Well, at least since 21Guns is no longer pimping Suds Dubler.) Very little commenting about Erik Gibson going elsewhere.

Speaking of Lehigh Valley fans and their favorite sons...any update on how Ryan Crookham has spent his year of ineligibility at Saucon Valley?

I'd have to thnk that Franklin is close to a lock if Cael wants him in the room. Dubois kid, wrestled at St. Joes, now Sem and dad works in Boalsburg.

Sassogasms?
Damn, wish I'd thought of that.
I'll get mileage outta that with my OSU cousins. TY

There's that whole "where does he fit in the lineup" issue though.

With Beard, Kerk, and Snacks all eligible thru 2025, he'd likely have to grayshirt + redshirt + sit 1 year. Or redshirt + sit 2 yrs. Maybe he's OK with all of that. But that would be unusual when he could be a 4-yr starter elsewhere.

Any idea why he didn't come to NLWC Feb 23 with Bouzakis and 5 other Seminary teammates?

Burrell wrestling program turns out good wrestlers. A buddy of mine used to be head coach. Great program. Glad to see success for them.
