The road trip goes through New Jersey today.
125 – Glory (Fr)
Top recruit Patrick Glory begins his collegiate career in Princeton. Suriano moves to 133 this year to avoid being the 2nd best 125 pounder in New Jersey (just joking, settle down cruiseliner fans). Glory takes over for last year’s starter, DeVincenzo, who went 12-16 last year and did not qualify for the tournament.
133 – Agaisse (Jr)
Agaisse missed last season due to injury and missed the postseason due to injury in 2017. As the starter @125 in 2017, he went 12-6. Jonathan Gomez moved up from 125 last year and went 11-11 on the season and didn’t qualify for the tournament.
141 – D’arcy (Sr)
D’arcy, a three year starter, returns for his final season. He did not qualify for the tournament last year and had a 11-14 season record. He qualified in 2017, going 1-2.
149 – Kolodzik (Jr)
With the watermelon torturer gone, 2-time AA Kolodzik (among several others) gets a shot at a NC. Kolodzik beat the 2, 3, 4 and 6 seeds and finished 3rd last year @149 from the 11 seed. He finished 7th @141 in 2017 from the 4 seed. Kolodzik was Princeton’s only AA last year.
157 – D’angelo (Sr)
Three-year starter and two-time qualifier, D’angelo returns for his final season. D’angelo went 1-2 in the tourney last year from the 16 seed (23-10 season record) and 1-2 in 2017.
165 – Merkin (Jr)
Merkin went 18-8 last year in open tournaments and starting in 3 duals @157. He takes over for Schleifer who qualified for the tournament last year going 0-2 (16-13 season record).
174 – Stefanik (Fr)
After a gray shirt year, another high end recruit enters Princeton’s lineup. He takes over for Gancayco who went 7-15 last year.
184 – Parker (Jr)
Kevin Parker is a 2-year starter (has not qualified for the tournament) and went 9-17 last year.
197 – Brucki (So)
Patrick Brucki went 28-10 last year as a true freshman and qualified for the tournament going 1-2.
Heavy – Araneo (Jr)
Araneo went 11-10 last year and did not qualify for the tournament.
Princeton returns 3 of their 4 qualifiers from last year, including their 1 AA, and adds two very good freshmen to the starting lineup. This is another team that has some upside at several weights and should surpass last year’s performance (26th/17 points). Maybe they’ll even take the title of best team in Jerzey this year.
