Now that all of the weight classes have been ranked by Flo in their preseason standings, I thought I'd take a quick look at the team race. I assume Flo will post their team rankings on Tuesday. To get a jump on that, I took a look at PSU, Oklahoma St., Iowa, Ohio State, and Cornell in terms of how their wrestlers were ranked in Flo's top 20 preseason rankings, per weight.

Only time will tell how accurate Flo's predictions are. Injuries can't be accounted for in preseason predictions, nor can how true freshmen will do in the season. And as someone posted in one of the preseason threads (I think it was Roar), if you look at seedings versus final finish at Nationals, even with a season's body of work from which to prognosticate, things do not always go as predicted.
Going just from Flo's preseason rankings (can't stress that enough), PSU seems to be the most complete team. Oklahoma State may have (I didn't do the math) a higher ranking per average for 10 of the weights, but they are hurt by not being ranked at 2 of the weights. They seem to be the two teams that on paper are most likely to be in competition for the team title at Nationals.
Iowa has very high seeds at 6 of the weights, but is not ranked at 4 of the seeds. Ohio State is rather similar, with very high seeds at 5 weights and a 17th ranking at a 6th weight, but they are also unseeded at 4 weights. Cornell has very high seeds at 4 weights, a 17th and a 19th at 2 other weights, and is not ranked at 4 weights.
