Dunno why NLWC typically waits to enter but I doubt the reason has anything to do with tactics. Probably just someone at the NLWC not wanting to do work twice. They send a large contingent and maybe a few of those people are on the fence, easier to wait until you're sure of who you're sending. Pure speculation on my part but can't imagine a tactical reason.
Curious why Bo isn't being talked about at 86kg. He's not in Flo's preview so I assume he's not going but maybe Flo doesn't know. He's a pretty big name to omit form the preview if he winds up going. Maybe someone here knows something more concrete.

Tactics? Maybe. If that's it, you'll never heard it said out loud. From where I sit, they just want to get it right, and do it one time (register most of the guys all at once). Some are on the fence about going, for various reasons...and tikk was correct, again...it's a NLWC event for the guys.
Thanks I'm pretty invested ( which makes me unique) and the waiting sucks.

Thanks ive gone before not this year. I went once with Tony Dehaven. He was one of Dave Schultz's training partners at the time of his death. Tony was the the only Foxcatcher to maintain his friendship with DuPont after the murder. He became a pariah and left the sport. A few years later we became friends and he decided to get back into it. My wife and I cornered him and had the time of our life. Dave Schultz's widow publicly embraced Tony and asked him to dinner with her crew. I watched a match next to Dan Gable. Cael was competing and cruising along with a wake of worshippers and I got to see him crush a few people. Needless to say the event is big on my calendar.

Jake Varner is definitely not listed under men's Senior Freestyle....check Greco just is case and he is not there either. Would have thought Joseph would also be there.
I just googled the schedule and got on to the USA wrestling home page. There's a US open tab that brings you to the full event schedule.
When is the Pletcher match going off?
The scoreboards might not have enough digits to contain the score of a Taylor - Nickal match. However, I would worry more about the wear and tear of a Retherford - Molinaro match. That one could be a brute strength match.
