It’s on ESPN2 now.Winner to the Frozen Four
The third period will be like the third period of The Miracle on Ice game.I have no doubt that Michigan is going to come out flying in the 3rd. Penn State needs to play great defense and/or come up with some nice counterattacks. They’ve been smart on getting the puck out of their own zone and through the neutral zone. Need to keep that up!
What about the 4th period? The third period will be like the third period of The Miracle on Ice game.
PSU actually outplayed them after giving up the tying goal. The difference is that the other team has elite offensive talent and PSU doesn’t.What about the 4th period?
Good thing goaltending and defense can close that gap huh?PSU actually outplayed them after giving up the tying goal. The difference is that the other team has elite offensive talent and PSU doesn’t.
Who cares? Michigan was the seeded team and they won a game in OTHere comes Ole ted...
Agreed--would have loved to have won this game but there's so many positives from this seasonPenn State missed an open net just before the penalty that lead to Michigan’s game tying goal. Oh, if only.
Regardless, good year overall and really good tournament for Penn State. They took a step forward this year. Really looking forward to the next step.
Great season ? ? ? The team was 4 and 9 in their last 13 games The team collapsed the second half of the season Won only 3 games in conf What happened ?Tough loss--great game and great season
They're a team that lacked offensive talent. Even with the skid they played well in the majority of those losses and played a hell of a game against Michigan. They dominated Michigan Tech. They've solidified themselves as a top-tier program. Need to take another step next year.Great season ? ? ? The difference between a Michigan and Minnesota and a PSU is that the former two programs have rosters filled with NHL draft picks, and a lot of them are first round picks, whereas PSU does not. That has to change if PSU is going to take the next step. For instance, Logan Cooley, who grew up in the Pittsburgh area, was a freshman this past season on Minnesota and the Coyotes' number one draft pick in 2022 and finalist for the Hobey Baker Trophy; he's the kind of player that PSU must start landing. They're a team that lacked offensive talent. Right they do but it takes time to build a program to get to Minnesota's level. How far we've come in a short period of time is impressiveThe difference between a Michigan and Minnesota and a PSU is that the former two programs have rosters filled with NHL draft picks, and a lot of them are first round picks, whereas PSU does not. Yes, I agree with that. It's amazing how far this program has come in a such a short time, and that they won a Big 10 Tournament Championship in 2017 and a Big 10 Regular Season Championship in 2020, and now play in a tremendous facility. I actually saw my first game at Pegula against MSU on a Saturday night this past November and was blown away by that place.Right they do but it takes time to build a program to get to Minnesota's level.
