Penn State basketball is hosting Vanderbilt big man Quentin Millora-Brown on a visit today.

Last year (his 4thyear) he averaged 3.7 pts and 4.3 rebounds per game and less than 1 block per game. Stats were almost non existent against better teams. Unless this guy has been in the wrong system, I don't see the benefit to PSU bball. His stats indicate he is a big reach - almost shows desperation for some size on the team. Not buying it.

Good rebounder/defender that won’t offer a lot at the offensive end…He’s not a huge difference maker, I’d definitely take him, as he was a starter on a bubble team and could certainly help.

This type of pressing defense Rhoades plays I think calls for a more intimidating big man @ the back end. Don't think he meets that criteria but I'm certainly not the coaching staff watching his film so they must have seen something and I believe they work these players out on official visits. I assume Wahab isn't coming to PSU so they are looking elsewhere?

I’d hope we aren’t putting all of our eggs into one basket and are looking at several options…we’ll need two guys that can play the 5 at a minimum, as if we’re pressing tempo, those guys aren’t playing 30+ minutes most likely.

AGREE. I'll add that PSU needs Demetrius Lilley to get to the point over the summer that he can give them 10-12 solid minutes each game.
