PSU in last place

It could be worse. We could be Sacred Heart who has 0 potential points yet to score this postseason. Did anybody else see that? I appreciate anybody who can lace up their shoes and compete in DI but how does a team go 0-20 in the first session of a conference tournament? It is not like it has been just this year where they have struggled. Every year they are lucky to get 1-2 guys into the second session of the EIWA tournament (which is not very strong once you get into the bottom half of the teams).

I will give a thumbs up to the Sacred Heart folks for not dropping the sport. It would be easy to do with that kind of record. Knowing how hard wrestlers work, I would show up and root for those kids. Wrestlers are a special breed no matter the record.

I’ll take “Useless threads started by restless fans the eve before a major tournament for $800”
You know Tom Ryan would be obsessing about this if the Bucks were in our place and the race was supposed to be tight. He’d be calling for an overhaul of the Bye allocations.

All for the good of the sport of course

My understanding is that Sacred Heart has less than one scholarship, and further, the coach there has to fundraise the gross domestic product of a mid-sized country.

It's been 12 years since their last national qualifier (Payam Zarrinpour), for those wondering, and they've gone through more coaches than I can count. (Brewster, Cameron, Lausier, and now Clark...and I might be missing one or two) Also, for those wondering, their current AD is former New York Mets manager Bobby Valentine.

When the university president wants to ask Bobby Valentine about the state of the wrestling team:

Why did the chick jump off the cliff? At least when RBY jumps into a flip he’s trying to score points. What’s the chick trying to score? #huh?

Bobby Valentine is the SOB who bragged about advising Silas Redd to transfer after the Sandusky fiasco

SHP, thank you for sharing this here. I knew Sacred Heart existed (so my NY Italian cousins told me). But I didn't know the backstory. Much appreciated

Ryan should embrace this opportunity.

With 9 guys wrestling mostly inferior competition in the first round, they should have the lead going into quarters ... great opportunity for face time on BTN.
