PSU men's hockey picked to finish just 4th in b1g by opposing conference coaches

Season tickets just arrived today. No spiral binder, lol. Banner Night for the home opener on a Thursday (wish it was the Friday, as I am hoping to make it up before Saturday's football game against Michigan!). Schedule is quite jumbled, with numerous conference games early in the season. Go State!

Eh. Not as terrible as it may seem at first glance. Having Minny and ND ahead of us is not unreasonable, they're really, really good. We just won the title mainly on the backs of the young guys - we're a top contender again but the league is going to be very competitive. We can't afford any more sweeps at East Lansing.

League is going to be incredibly competitive. OSU at #5 and U-M at #6 are also going to contend to make the NCAA tournament. Should be a fun winter!

Got mine today as well! I see you are in Media - I thought I had a long trip up for the games. Do you make most of them? I lived in Media for ten years, off Orange Street.

Also - with the parking I just saw they are going to OPEN the gate from Stadium West onto University Drive. That is going to be a big help getting out and was one of the comments I made in the after-season survey. God knows I'll rip the Athletic Dept when they do stupid things, but when they make smart moves to help out the fans, it's only right to recognize that they did something to make it better.

The word 'amazing' seems inadequate when it comes to PSU men's hockey and the impact it has had on the B1G, considering there was not a B1G hockey conference before our program launched (right?).
And then, from no program, from no B1G, and just a few short seasons later, arguably the toughest hockey conference in the country and no real consensus favorite going into the season thanks to the overall depth and potential of the teams top-to-bottom...... Wow.

What hath Battista's vision wrought (and the Pegulas' money, of course)?!

Hey, Fox Chapel Lion - sorry for the delayed response. Crazy end to the week, including a trip to the ER for one of my kids (all good - glue rather than stitches!). Unfortunately, I only make it up for 4 or so games per year right now (love the 3 pm Saturday starts, but they seem to have fallen out of favor!), but I can't bring myself to give up my tickets (and the seats never go unused!). Maybe I'll eventually convince my wife to retire in State College and I can then make it to them all, lol!

We really enjoy living in the Media area; we moved here from DC about eight years ago. We lived over on South Avenue for the first year and we're now over in Nether Providence. It is a haul to State College (had a shorter drove from northern VA!), but it is manageable especially on a non-football weekend.

Hope you guys made it to the Plumstead Inn before it closed. A Towny hangout for sure.

I grew up in Rose Valley and just heard a fellow poster lived 4 houses down from ours after I had left the area.
